College Physics (High School Edition)

Son used this book in his college class and it was a current version and fine for his use.

Good book...has good examples for each chapter..and a good summary that is great for review before exams. Lots of problems to work out with each chapter.

An excellent buy, compared to the tissue paper binder filler you buy in the college book-stores. Web-Assign is good for two semesters, so get this book for Physics 102, you won't regret it! You'll have it forever, and the quality is 10x better. 10e10 better

It's a physics book, so it can only be so good, but it helped me with my classes as anticipated.

I ordered the ebook, and it is absolutely awful. They've made changes so that any symbols such as +, -, =, * have been removed completely from the ebook. In their place, they have replaced them with numbers in a slightly different font than the original text. For example, "a + b = c" in the physical book is now "a 1 b 5 c". That's hard enough to read, it gets even worse when they start using numbers so "1 + 2 = 3" is now "1 1 2 5 3". Now imagine that with longer physics equations. This makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE to anyone reading it, or even to have replaced the symbols in the first place. I wasn't able to learn from this book at all, I had to pay very close attention to the professor, and anything I missed I had to search online for.If that wasn't bad enough, sometimes things are taken out without being replaced by anything. For example, a question gives the situation of a hilly roller coaster track. "The cart has a certain mass, here's the height of the hill, what is the force at point ?" IT DOESN'T EVEN FINISH THE QUESTION! When you look at the diagram given, there are no points listed. I checked with a classmate and the points are definitely listed on the diagram and in the question, but they are simply missing in the ebook. There are multiple places throughout the book where important pieces are missing.Simply put, this book is a joke. Whoever made these changes is an imbecile and I feel as if it's a power play to get people to purchase the physical copy and spend more money. I was forced to get this book because we had homework assignments from it, which as I stated above I couldn't finish all of. I would suggest against getting this book if you aren't being assigned problems out of it. I've used ebooks before, they're all just a digital copy of the book except this one, which is a shell of what it should be. Forgo this book if you can and learn anything you need of Khanacademy.com.I wish I could get a refund for this scam.

Overall the book was in rough shape but it got the job done and the price was hard to beat ($13 per semester to rent!)

It is the full version! Needed it for my physics 1 course and can use it for my physics 2. There is also a divided volume 1 and volume 2, but this one includes both.

Great book, a lot of diverse practice prioblems.
