Good upgrade over those old OEM ones.
Decided it was time for some new honkers for my 1998 4runner since my oem ones were dinkie and sounding really funny. One of them went bad and gives off a strange sound. Put these on an they are an awesome upgrade. Horns are a much louder & have a deeper tone and demand attention when used! Thankfully toyota is toyota and makes it easy and has been using the same single pin horn connector forever so they plug right into my factory horn wires. For you 3rd gen 4runner and probably 1st gen taco people out there the horns in the toyota kit will fit but you will have to do some slight modifications to one of the horn brackets. but it's very easy. First thing you'll have to do is adjust the connector on the horn. They come out the box at the wrong angle for our trucks and the horn wire won't reach it to put in. They rotate though so just push down hard on the connector to make it spin around. It spins but it's very stiff so you have to push hard, don't be afraid to. First photo is after I rotated them. Secondly, at least for my 4runner the passenger side horn didn't fit because of the ac line right next to it. All I had to do was drill a hole higher up on the bracket to clear it. roughly 31mm from center of the old hole to the center of the new hole. In the pictures it looks like it's touching the ac line but I promise you it's not. Its about a 12mm gap in between it and the horn so it's plenty of space. You will also have to use a regular box end wrench on the passenger bolt now since the horn is moved up and blocks socket access from the front. Overall really liking these new horns so far, they are good value and definitely work well and they fit great even though they are larger than the ones I had before. They aren't touching on any part of the grill or other pieces around it either. Easy good upgrade!

Fits in 2008 Toyota Prius - Nice Upgrade from stock
First perfectly in 2008 Prius, wiring is plug and play. Can loosen the nut to adjust where the horn is angled, just make sure to angle the trumpet down so water doesn't pool

Plug and play for 2015 Toyota Prius
Plug and play for a 2015 Toyota Prius. No more “roadrunner meep meep” horn that everyone ignores! Now it sounds proper. From an installation perspective, the plugs are at a right angle -vs- vertical like the stock horns were, so the vehicle’s wires wouldn’t reach at first… but undoing two little clips gave enough slack for everything to plug in. Reading online it appears you can also rotate the plugs on the new horns themselves, but they’re pretty tight and I didn’t want to risk damaging them. A+ overall!

Not a perfect fit, but what a great horn! 4th Gen Toyota Prius
This required some finger gymnastics to install into a 4th gen Prius, but the plugs work directly at least. The size of these horns required some force fittings for the bolt attachment, but at least no cutting or modification was required. One of the other reviews mentioned the plugs can be rotated, this is not true at all. I personally needed it to move at least 90 degrees to orient in a way that would've made the horns fit without fuss. The plugs barely moved and even with a great amount of force using a makeshift lever wouldn't make that thing budge. Functionally this horn is an absolutely amazing upgrade and turned the useless meep-meep into a powerful force that will get attention immediately when needed. It is a night and day difference and that alone makes this a worthwhile purchase for any Toyota owners with the weak stock horns. HELLA knows how to make a good horn!

Make sure you have a good ground to the frame
Installed these on my 2018 Corolla iM which came with an embarrassing single horn. Only thing that came in the box was two horns each on brackets. Had to order a Y-harness to split the cable since one did not come with it. Luckily there was already an exact same mount with a nut in the other side of the Corolla’s horn mounting brace so all I needed was adid another 12mm bolt which I had already. Mounting was easy. Pointed the horns and the connectors down so water doesn’t enter them. Had to use a wrench to slightly rotate one of the connectors on one horn just slightly. Be gentle. Once everything was installed I gave it a test and it sounded so much better but it didn’t last long. One of the horns stopped working on the second try. Had my son honk it with my hands in each horn to determine which one wasn’t working. Switched plugs and the same one still wasn’t working. So determined the bad horn was not grounding out. They ground through the bracket to the bolt and frame. Disassembled the bracket, scratched the paint off the bracket at each of the contact points and installed an External Star Washer to get a good bite to the metal. Worked fine after that. So if you have a horn that doesn’t work. Check that it’s grounding to the frame. Hopefully it will stay grounded.

Must Have Upgrade
Easy install on 2026 4Runner, no wiring mess, using direct Toyota plugs. Now it sounds like a Truck and not a VW Beatle.

Perfect easy upgrade! Get rid of that whimpy quiet Toyota horn!
Sounds so much better than the oem horn on my 2025 Rav 4! Easy to install and good value for the money. Much louder and more masculine sounding (couldn't think of anything else to explain lol) than the original. I highly recommend! I couldn't post comparison vids since Amazon only allows one vid so I posted a vid of this new horn installed.

Will work on 2025 Isuzu MUX
Great upgrade for MY25.5 Isuzu MUX, far superior than the standard horns. Plug and play, same connector as the Toyota. Took 5 min to install and sound awesome.

Sounds a lot better than the stock horn on my 2025 Toyota 4Runner. I’m not sure why the site said it wouldn’t fit my truck but it did. Plug and play!!
