Farnam Home and Garden 11736 Starbar Sticky Fly Trap, 24-Inch

I can’t explain enough how awesome these are. We live in Utah in a mixed area of residential and rural farming. There’s chickens, cows, sheep, ducks sprinkled between neighborhoods.. These all bring a large population of flies, wasps, beetles, gnats, and huge hornets. The regular sized wasps nest everywhere and can be aggressive immediately. After killing 6 nests around my little backyard homestead I find them taking refuge in my siding. I placed on of these sticks by the nest entrance and the next day the entire nest was stuck to the trap. These are worth every dollar. They are easy functionally, just pull out of the box and they’re ready to go. Extremely sticky. There’s zero smell that I’ve noticed and we have 3 or 4 always hanging.

5 stars for the fly trap. 1 star for the seller. This fly trap works well. I have used them for the past two years and recently ordered another one for this summer. The problem is not with the trap. The problem is getting one shipped from this seller without it being crushed, which is why I am giving the the seller 1 star after two order attempts this month. The 24" long lightweight cardboard box which holds the sticky fly trap is fragile. Once crushed, the cardboard box containing the trap adheres to the extremely sticky trap and the trap becomes unusable because the cardboard cannot be removed from the sticky trap surface. The first trap I ordered this month was shipped in a flimsy cardboard box the exact size of the trap's lightweight box. It was received crushed, and I requested a replacement. The 2nd (replacement) trap arrived today. The lightweight trap box was wrapped inside soft bubble wrap, and it was also thoroughly crushed and is unusable. These fly traps should be shipped in a larger....or much more rigid....shipping box to prevent them from being crushed during transit. I am returning the replacement trap for a refund and won't order another one from this seller.

These work every time you hang them in an area when flies and wasps are present.
