Best budget router!
Although this listing is for the manufacturer refurbished version, there's not much of a difference from buying it new. If I remember correctly, it came with a ethernet cable, a few papers, and a cd. It has one Ethernet in, four Ethernet out, and USB port. Router runs fine 24/7 for the past 6th months without needing to restart as other reviewers have stated. Setup was a breeze, got wireless working after a few minutes. There's an option to use the 5.0Ghz wireless network which works fine as well. I purchased this through EMBIZ.

Did not work with Smartphone
Setup was easy enough; wifi connection worked well enough with our laptop and wifi printer. Not so with our Verizon/Motorola Razr smartphones; we could not connect through the router. We contacted Verizon and Motorola; both said the problem was in the router, which would not accept our password. I was disappointed because I liked the unit; however, I returned it for a refund and hooked up the Belkin WBR-1310 that I've had since 2006.

Brilliant router, stable and reliable
Bought this and have been using it since my wife and I moved into our apartment3.5 years ago. Hasn't failed us yet and even when it starts to, it's DD-WRT compatible so I hope to get several more years use after flashing the firmware.Has good range-I can often connect to it from 50+feet outside of the apartment(second floor to ground)Rarely have I been forced to reset it to fix an issue. Usually it's to help rectify an issue stemming from the router and our cable service

Nice product with wonderful features
The router is nice with some cool features. There are a lot of other routers that you can find if you are just looking for dual band routers (with or without USB). But this one is OpenWRT and DDWRT supported router. Spend your money on this if you are interested in attaching a network drive and stream media from that drive. I love watching movies over DLNA, network share etc. and this solves the purpose. For fun you can also host your http and/or ftp servers over internet. One thing though, the writing is not very nice over the network. for example if you are transferring your media from your laptop to the network drive, dont expect superfast speed. Go for a higher CPU based router for that. Its been a month using the router and no issues with it, yet :)EDIT.....after 1.5 months i mistakenly disconnected the router power supply and found that router was unable to connect to the internet. I tried to debug it for 3 hrs, it was definitely frustrating. Finally when i was about to give up i thought of directly connecting to modem and try upgrading my firmware (i dont know how i thought of this even when router always showed me that there was no router update before it went rogue). So, i downloaded and did the upgrade and it started working. Dont know why but it is working now.Reduced the rating from 5 to 4 stars because of frustration. agh...--------------------------On a different note: if you are planning to host a file server on the router (via the USB port on the router) let me warn you that the file transfer rate it not impressive. Might be something like 1.5 MBytes/sec. so it might be good for a 1080p movie but not when u are taking periodic backups of files like 20 GBs. Get a router with a good processor for that. Although the network speed is super fast, u need not worry about that

Great router unless you want wireless.
I ordered this product while I was deployed to Afghanistan. When I finally returned home and plugged it in, it worked exceptionally well for about 2 weeks. Then my wireless signal failed to the point that I currently have 25% signal strength from 3 feet away. I've spent over a month working with Netgear support trying to get the issue resolved or the unit replaced, but it's a hardware problem and they do not support refurbished products. In the end, it is beyond my 90 day return window and Netgear won't do anything for me, so I spent $ 6 0 on a standard gigabit router. This does me absolutely no good at all.I purchased this product because of Netgear's good name. After the unit failed, I searched and discovered this is an extremely common problem with this series. Don't get screwed, but a different brand.

After 20 months of use, unit has died.
I had high hopes for this router after reading the positive reviews a couple years ago. I was tired of my old D-Link and was ready to spend the extra bucks for a better, newer modem. Unfortunately, the modem never rose too much above average. I had to reset it every other month, and the guest network always had problems allowing connections. The range and speed were good, when it worked right, but I think products like this should last much longer. Cannot recommend for the price.

Better than expected
I was hesitant, first because I read a few lousy reviews about netgear's customer service and second because I was considering a refurbished one. Now, glad I did it! It arrived yesterday and I set it up in my house today. I did struggled a bit with issues I had with my ISP and with getting my wireless printer connected but neither had anything to do with the router. I've got my PC (wired), laptop (wireless), android phone (wireless), printer (wireless) and DVR (wireless) all up and running. My DVR is connected at 5ghz, the others at 2.4ghz. Encryption is super easy. You can manage and configure the router via the web-based "genie" or the installable "genie" software. I prefer the web-based as it seems to have a few more features, although I'm certainly no expert in either. One nice feature of the installed software, though, is the visual representation of connected devices. A handy feature is the "readyshare" USB port for shared storage (and file transfers) across any connected device - and you can easily map a drive to it for ease of use. There seems to be 4 distinct access points; 2.4, 5.0, 2.4 guest, and 5 guest. (The guest feature is nice too.)As for the refurbished bit... For all I know, itis brand new. It came sealed up in plastic and I'd never know it was refurbished. And the best part - the price! can't beat it. Very happy so far!

Works with no glitches
I bought this to replace a more expensive and modern Belkin router which I had purchased 3 months previously. In that time we had numerous wifi outages, had to reset the router and reconnect all our connected appliances, it was tedious.Since we plugged this guy in we have had zero outages, I had previously owned a NetGear router and I think I will stick with this brand, they are dependable and the dashboard is easy to follow, I have never had to revisit it since turning it on and that's a testament to the ease of use and stability of the product.Speed wise I play xbox and xbox one multiplayer games and they are flying through, I also have some network extenders around my house and so far everyone seems to play well with each other. If you want something that you switch on and then don't have to worry about, then get this, I highly recommend it.

I was disappointed with range
Range is same as my last bottom line Belkin Router. I was disappointed with range. Speed and connectivity are in improvement from my last cheap router. It has 5.1 ghz but only our ipad supports. None of our phones or my laptops support.
