Le Creuset of America Revolution Bi-Material Saute Spoon, Cerise (Cherry Red)

Really happy with this, although it's very pricey. It's the silicon on the end that makes it so useful for say scraping the batter from a bowl, after you've done mixing it. I find myself reaching for this quite a lot now. Very happy with my purchase.

Love this spoon for all my cooking needs. I use it to stir fry, to brown ground or chunked meats, to stir pots, to serve up dinner and even to get the left overs into storage containers. It has a softer tip that lets you use it like a rubber spatula but it's strong enough to chunk up your ground beef like a wooden spoon without worry about contamination. I received this as a wedding present about 6 years ago along with the slotted one and the ladle that match. I don't use the slotted one as much but it's of very fine quality too. The ladle is perfect for a wide variety of uses too. I couldn't be happier, definitely worth the price!

Serious Eats has me spending all my money on Amazon. I was on Serious Eats researching wooden spoons when I came across Lopez-Alt’s review on this bi-material one as being the only plastic spoon worth owning. It’s all true.I have the wooden version of this and honestly didn’t know it could get any better, but wow. While I still love a sturdy wooden spoon for ground meat stuffs, this one is the one I reach for when working with stickier, gooey foods like oatmeal.I make oatmeal at least twice a week and honestly I would spend the $25 for this spoon if just for that. Not only does it scrape the bottom of the oatmeal pot perfectly but it has just the right amount of dip to serve the oatmeal with. To top it off, it cleans up so easily. This spoon is so good, I wash it immediately afterwards so it’s always ready.

Most of my cooking utensils are stainless steel, but as I have begun to do some cooking in enamel and non-stick cookware, I've been looking at non-stick utensils.I have tried products from Kitchenaid and WMF with mixed success, mostly having to do with build quality (i.e. metal handle comes loose from non-stick head) and decided to give Le Creuset a chance seeing as how much I enjoy using their enamel wear.This tool is lightweight and appears to be well-made (I've been using it heavily for approximately 2 weeks) with no structural weaknesses thus far. I really do like the way they used a different material for the lip of the product as it helps me scrape frond better from the pan, especially in the harder to reach rounded corners that are usually a pain with my other tools.I have left it in the sauce pan for short periods of time with no evidence of damage or discoloration of the red tip, however I'm usually pretty cautious with any plastic products and would not recommend prolonged exposure to high temperatures.I look forward to trying out the other tools in this same line, however I believe the bi-material benefit is greatest with a salute spoon and less likely to provide significant benefit with something like a ladle.

I cook a lot and I need no new tools. However, this sauce spoon does what no other utensil I have does. It stirs like a spoon but has a flexible silicone flat scraper that is perfect for ensuring nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. It is well designed and durable. It ain't cheap but it's constructed like it should last forever.
