This worked for about a year, but the cord wasn't very strong so had to buy another one the next year.

This winch came with a steel cable that was very strong, but it unraveled when under stress. The locking mechanism slipped out of place too easily, allowing the cable to unroll. When under a load, the cable crossed itself as I reeled it up and I had to disassemble it to free it up. I ended up replacing the cable with a strap which works much better.

The winch seems to be good quality and work great, but the cable is not very stong. I broke the cable just by cranking the winch and I didn't try hard, I since replaced with better cable.
