The distance between the two walls is about sixty inches (60") so I was happy to find this adjustable rod for sale on Amazon. It installed very easily. After I installed it I hung some jackets, shirts and pants on it. Because of the "play" between the two adjustible pieces, this rod sags in a way that makes it look like a smiling face. I will keep this item because I am confident that it is secure into the wall studs. However it looks very bad and I am scared that it might fail some day.
