The good outweighs the bad
200W, N-Type, Bifacial 1) Yes, the reviews are accurate regarding the incredibly inadequate packaging. I bought 5 of these and every single one of them had varying amounts of damage. The cardboard was shredded, corners missing, cuts, slashes, and holes throughout. Only one panel arrived shattered, though. I returned it via UPS store drop off the same day and they had a replacement at my door in under a week. The other four and the replacement panel all have some scuffs and nicks in the frames. I had to file down a couple of nasty sharp aluminum shards to avoid injury while handling. 2) You might wonder after that first bit why I'd give this 5 stars. I'll tell you: When they arrived all dinged up and I had to return one (and after I received the replacement), I gave them a quick once over with my multi-meter and a few minutes each plugged in to a small power station to make sure they operated. They all worked OK but seemed pretty average as far as output. I finally got around to starting the project I bought these for today. I decided to lay them out and wire them up in my yard in the configuration they're going to get mounted on the porch roof. Just laying on the ground on a cool but less than ideal sky condition day, they gave me 920 watts in a 5-S configuration whenever the sun was mostly out of the clouds. Open circuit voltage for the array was 111 volts. I won't know exactly what they're capable of until I get an ideal conditions day, but I paid .57 cents a rated watt and I'm getting 92% of rated watts just laying on the ground without any optimization and no bi-facial potential what so ever. 3) This format (31 or so inches by 47 or so inches and weighing about 21lbs) is handy. I'd imagine most people buy these for mounting on RVs, toy-haulers, and such. I bought them to roof mount on my porch. They're small and light enough for one person to manage pretty easily. After testing them today, I brought them up on a 12 foot roof and mounted them by myself (and I'm no spring chicken). Depending on how you intend to mount them, you might spend more money on mounting hardware than you would otherwise with larger format panels because of math (generally speaking, 2 400 watt panels might need half the mounting hardware 4 200 watt panels might need), but it sure is nice to be able to safely manage panels solo. 4) Finally, the last thing to know about these from my perspective is that the only reason I decided to type a review is because I came back to this page to buy half a dozen more of these. Low quality packaging, shipping damage, dealing with a return... Small potatoes. If I was in some sort of a huge hurry to get this project done, maybe I'd feel different. The price, performance, and manageable form factor far outweigh the rest. They're good enough for me to buy twice and use up the remainder of the space on my porch roof. (though it does look like the price went up a few dollars since last month - still not as expensive as comparable calsuns or etc, but future review readers should eye-ball the price tag and make sure it's still competitive before buying)

HQST Solar Panels are an outstanding value with great performance.
200 Watts each, x 4 panels. Used with a Victron Multiplus 2, 12V 3000 Watt Inverter/Charger. Full Victron system. MPPT is 50/100 for 800 Watts of solar. My rig is a 22 ft Class C RV, Ford E350, 6.8L engine, V10. I have so much energy coming in that I can run a 10 cu ft AC residential fridge full time and lose about 5% of my energy on that. I live in the Bay area of Northern California, Silicon Valley, so lots of sunshine in summer. We will see in winter! But I also have the Victron Orion DC-DC Charger for alternator charging when I drive or just run the engine to boost batteries. So far, zero issues. Cheap and good solar panels, highly recommend. HQST does not have phone support, but you cannot beat the price at $239 for 2 panels 200 Watts each! Outstanding value and performance.

Makes full rated output.
On a sunny day, I have seen greater than the rated output of these panels, as reported by my Victron Cerbo. Construction seems solid. Packaging for shipping leaves something to be desired. Good corner protection, but flimsy boxes. The panels had broken out of both packages that I received. But the panels survived.

Great Bi-facial N-Type Monocrystalline 200W solar panel
I upgraded my backyard yard lighting setup from a basic 100W panel to this HQST N-Type 16BB 200W Bifacial Compact Solar Panel, and the difference has been clear right away. My old panel struggled to keep the yard LEDs and a couple of garden spotlights running through the night, especially after cloudy days. This new panel charges my 12V battery bank noticeably faster and gives the lights more consistent runtime and brightness without needing to add extra panels or batteries. The bifacial design is a nice bonus in my yard setup—I mounted it a few feet off the ground on a pergola, and the rear side picks up reflected light from the lighter surface, adding a bit of extra yield during shoulder hours. What really stands out for a home DIY install like mine is how compact and lightweight it is. At roughly 30 × 46 inches and around 20–22 lbs, it was easy for one person to carry and position without any heavy mounting hardware or structural changes to my existing setup. The all-black frame and clean look blend into the garden better than bulkier traditional panels, and the build feels solid with its aluminum frame and weatherproofing. I was able to use the same basic mounting points I had before, which saved time and hassle during the swap. Performance-wise, the N-Type cells with 16 busbars seem to deliver strong efficiency in real-world conditions. Even on partly cloudy days I’m seeing solid charging current through my 40A MPPT controller, and the system recovers faster after shading from trees or the house. The higher wattage in this smaller footprint means I now have headroom to run the lights longer or potentially add another low-power feature later without overloading the battery. It’s been a straightforward plug-and-play upgrade with standard MC4 connectors. One detail worth noting for anyone matching this to a specific system: the open-circuit voltage measures about 22.4V, not 24V. It still works perfectly with my 12V battery and 40A 12V/24V MPPT setup (Vmp lands in a good range), but it’s something to confirm if your controller or wiring expects a higher-voltage panel or if you’re planning series strings for a 24V nominal system. Overall and as of now I’m happy with how this panel has improved my yard lighting reliability and output in a space-friendly package. The bifacial capability and compact high-efficiency design make it a smart step up from the old 100W unit for a typical home off-grid lighting project. That said, because this compact bifacial N-Type model is still relatively new, I don’t have long-term data on degradation or durability after several years of full outdoor exposure (UV, temperature swings, occasional heavy rain or wind). The manufacturer warranty is reassuring, but real-world longevity in a yard environment is still an unknown I’ll be watching over time. For now, it’s performing well and was a worthwhile upgrade.

Great Output
Easy mount on my enclosed tool trailer. Keeps my power station charged. I've used HQST panels on my Super C motorhome fur over 4 years. This one outputs 85+ watts.

I would purchase again.
The box was a little ripped, but the panels were fine. Both work excellent in my series hookup and have given up to 347 watts in series.

Very Disappointing
Very Disappointing. Have had these short while and they have slowed down charging considerably. They started out well and seemed fast but since has deteriorated in efficiency. Too big to return so I'm out of pocket. I thought the biracial feature would help but apparently not. Also if there's any amount of shade on it the panels don't charge much at all. Waste of money

easy to work with, great quality/price
Good Quality, Great Size vs Wattage. Good in Early Morning/Low Light. Saves Space, Good Low Light Absorption, if you're new to solar and need some real power skip the 100-175w panels and grab a set of 200w or higher. These a great for the price.

Narrowboat Solar Panel
We needed to replace a panel on our narrowboat and this product fits perfectly and works very well alongside the existing panel. The order was delivered next day and I was impressed with HQST service.

Flexibles Modul!!!
Leider handelt es sich nicht um ein Panel wie auf dem Foto zu sehen, sondern es ist ein Panel auf einer Plastikscheibe und es ist somit flexibel
