I am over the MOON! This pen is fabulous to look at and writes like a dream. I am so surprised. I thought the medium nib might put down too much ink for me, but it writes so smoothly, and I love that I can see the ink color, which is sometimes hard with certain fine and extra-fine nibs. I ordered the ink converter so that I have easier access to my inks. The cap posts nicely and it's light enough to write with it posted. I'm gripping too hard and denting my finger, but working on writing with a looser grip. The metal is beautiful. It's my go-to pen at the moment. But us pen-ficianados love to love new pens!

Very smooth writing with no feathering or bleed through on regular paper, highly satisfied with my new pen, color is on point to description.

I love Lamy fountain pens: especially the Al-Star series. They are consistently high quality, reliable, straightforward to use, ergonomic (triangle grip, and the nibs are easy to swap out as well as also economical. The weight and balance are fine, the cap posts well, and the colors. So many good options.

This pen glides so smoothly! The handwriting looks amazing, and anyone who uses it falls in love with it instantly❤️❤️

The plastic one is WAY better. I bought this pen after losing my LAMY safari and i figured that this pen would be a nice upgrade as it is made of metal and has a bright color so i wouldnt lose it. When i started using it at first it was fine but when i started using the spring clip on some thicker materials (like 3 mm thick) the spring clip lost its tension and became loose so it stop clipping onto things. Also the metal finishing is quite terrible in this color as it started chipping very quickly and looks aged but my Safari looked way better after a longer usage. BUY THE LAMY SAFARI INSTEAD

The Lamy Al Star is an excellent look & performing pen. I could not get a stub nib option in Black so upgraded to a Bold Black 14k Gold nib, which looks & performs fantastically. I have multiple Lamy Al Stars but this colour in Limited addition “Denim” is a stylish etition that combines a faded denim body colour with an Orange section & cap highlights which is a proven combo, seen on your favourite pair of jeans.
