The stripes run vertically so to use this and make it appear to be blinds you have to flip it sideways. This will help determine what size you need for your windows. As long as you are making straight cuts and match the pattern it can also be pieced if necessary. It is true privacy because you can’t see thru it but it allows a generous amount of light. Excellent substitute for blinds because blinds are so hard to keep clean. From outside it looks like blinds. I am very happy with the finished results.

I was confused for two seconds until I realized it sticks on like those wall stickers you get during holidays. The backing was easy to peel off. It isnt sticky like tape you have to stick it on with water for it to work but dang does it work! And so pretty! Makes a rainbow when sun comes through!

My husband and I are renovating an older 1990 home that used to have the absolute ugliest vertical blinds throughout the house, including the sliding glass door leading to the Florida room from our kitchen. I didn’t want to swap old blinds for newer ones—I wanted something sleek, modern, and functional. This frosted window film delivered exactly that! The horizontal lines add a clean, contemporary vibe and give the door a high-end, almost architectural look. It lets in soft, diffused light while providing privacy. The end result looks polished and custom—like something you'd see in a luxury place, not a DIY project. Application was a breeze. It was easy to cut and forgiving during install. The bubbles worked out nicely, but be warned—leave at least 1/8 inch on each edge. If you go edge to edge, the bubbles get trapped and it won’t adhere properly. Once it dried, it stuck securely and hasn't lifted at all. Prep is key! We scraped off any gunk, cleaned with glass cleaner, then went over everything with soapy ammonia water before squeegeeing it dry. During install, spray everything: the glass, the adhesive side of the film, even the front. You’ll absolutely need a good squeegee to get the best results. If you’re looking for an affordable upgrade that instantly modernizes a space, this is it. Highly recommend!

I would have given 5 stars, but instructions didn't clarify which side was which. Everything else was clear. Once I get it up I know it will be super great.

I got this because my cat likes to sit in my bedroom window to look outside, which means I have to keep the blinds pulled up for her. This was a great fix! It did take 2 people but was fairly easy to apply, and it certainly blocks both the heat and the view from outside….at a great price! The view from inside is still just as clear but the outside is mirrored during the day, even when I have a light turned on. If you get right up to the window to peer inside, you can tell there is a light on & see movement maybe but certainly can’t see any details. I would definitely recommend this product!!

This product was kind of hard to put up. I think that if the window tints were shipped flat on cardboard instead of rolled up, it would have made a tremendous difference in the application process. The tint kept rolling up on me as I was trying to apply. Also, I applied a test strip to a random piece of glass and then applied the window tint to my window. After 30 minutes of the applied window I could still see through and was frustrated that I did not get the type of privacy I was looking for. I became frustrated and removed the film after an hour. However, I had completely forgotten about the test strip until the next day and it was actually very private and served it's purpose, it just needed time I guess to set in completely. Also, it would have been made a better experience if they also shipped some type of tool to completely remove the air bubbles after applying. If you purchase this, I recommend you also purchase something to successfully remove the air bubbles and excess water! Good luck and happy findings.

Super simple to put up and love the rainbow effect when the sun hits it. I’ve bought multiple times. I haven’t had any issues with it falling off living in the Midwest with high heat and low colds. Also love the privacy it adds

DO NOT BUY, TOTAL WASTE OF $$, EXTREMELY POOR APPLICATION PROCESS!!! I HAVE PUT UP SEVERAL TINT FILMS, PREVIOUSLY. THIS PRODUCT HAD EXTREMELY POOR DESCRIPTION, ON THIS SITE, & WITH INSTRUCTIONS; CHEAP SQUEEGEE THAT KEEP FALLING APART, INSTRUCTIONS SAYS ,"APPLY WATER," BUT, ENTIRE BACKSLIDE HAD A TOP TO BOTTOM ADHESIVE, ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE REMOVABLE FILM, INSTRUCTIONS SAID TO REMOVE & SPRAY, PLACING THE ADHESIVE SIDE OUT INTO THE ROOM, WHICH IF YOU HAVE KIDS OR PETS, THEY HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO CLUTTERING THAT STICKY SIDE WITH HANDPRINTS, FUR, AND THEMSELVES!!! PUTTING UP THE FILM PER THE APPLY WATER METHOD, THE FILM BEGINS UNPEELING, WITHIN DAYS, AND FALLS TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE HAD TO STRUGGLE TRYING TO REAPPLY, AFTER THE ADHESIVE STUCK TOGETHER, AND ADHERED TO ITSELF, SO NOW THERE ARE RIPPLES EVERYWHERE, AND THERE ARE ISSUES WITH UNREMOVABLE BIG AIR BUBBLES, WITH AFTER OVER TEN PLUS TRIES, AND THREE HELPERS, NONE OF US COULD PLACE THE ALREADY CUT INITIAL INSTALLED FILM BACK INTO ITS "ORIGINAL POSITION!!!" DUE TO MOVING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH USA, N UNPACKING LARGE MOVING BOXES, WHILE ENTERING A NEW LOCATION, IT TOOK A WHILE TO GAIN "ACCESS," TO INSTALL THIS FILM, & TO DO SO WHEN NOT "ALONE OR STRESSED!!!" PLUS THE REPEATED, FALLING OFF THE PATIO DOORS, FREQUENTLY, FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS, THIS ONLY VALUE, OF THIS FILM WAS THE ONE WAY VIEW, WHEN IT ACTUALLY DID REMAIN IN PLACE FOR A FEW DAYS. WHICH UNTIL WE OBTAIN A FENCE, WE WERE ATTEMPTING TO BLOCK VISUAL ACCESSIBILITY, AS WE ARE LOCATED NEAR A STREET!!! I WANT A REFUND, AND DO NO ONE ELSE TO UNDERGO, LEARNING THAT THIS WAS NOT " THE BEST VALUE TO APPLY TO NEW, CLEAN PATIO DOORS... JUST APPEARS AS A "RIPOFF," UNFORTUNATELY!!!

film efficace en terme de brise vue, tout en laissant passer une jolie luminosité. j'ai entendu des passants s'arrêter devant mes fenêtres et se demander si elles étaient ciselées, l'effet est donc très réussi. la pose n'est pas difficile, je me suis aidée d'un sèche cheveux lorsque les coins ne voulaient pas adhérer, ça a très bien marché et depuis que c'est en place, rien ne se décolle.

Absolutely brilliant and the perfect addition for my reading room! This gives the space such a magical feel and I like the privacy, since this room is at the front of the house and easy to see into from the street or if people come knock at the door. This was super easy to install! Clean the windows well, spray a bunch of water, use a squeegee to get out any bubbles and the water you sprayed, cut the edges and you’re done! Not full opaque privacy but unless you’re pressed up against it, you can’t see what’s going on behind it. I also like that there’s UV protection using this, so it’ll prevent my books from getting sun damage. The iridescent, rainbow glow that cascades over the walls is ethereal! 100% would recommend and purchase again in a heartbeat!

This is a great product! Very useful if you’re renting and need to create a private space! Very beautiful and when the sunshine’s little rainbows shin through which is lovely! So easy to assemble as well!

I wanted something like this for my window because I'm facing a large, grey building and it's a very depressing view. I was also looking for something to lessen the intensity of the sun, as I'm facing west and therefore have it shining directly into my window and blinding me for a good chunk of the day. This is perfect! My view of the depressing grey building is now obscured and replaced with a nice rainbow shimmer, and for the first time ever I can fully open my blinds and not be blinded by the sun. It isn't quite late enough yet for me to see any rainbows shining around my room, but I am quite excited to see what that looks like when it is. Just the slight rainbow effect on the window is already so pretty. It was easy to install, if a little fiddly while the piece was still oversized as the parts that went further than the glass couldn't be stuck down and pulled at the rest of the piece. Once I got everything in the position I liked, it was easy to trim down the overlapped side and wipe out the bubbles or make other small adjustments. I may yet still need to trim some areas, as I do see a tiny bit of peel back on the bottom, but that's user error. This genuinely makes me so happy, and I'm glad I got it. I'll update if I do end up having issues with it.

Makkelijk op maat te snijden en hecht goed aan het raam zelfs met meerdere keren loshalen en vast maken. Als de zon er goed doorheen schijnt is het regenboogeffect goed te zien. Bij minder licht is dit niet zo. Het folie zorgt voor redelijke privacy. Niet zo goed als bv een melkglas type folie maar ruim voldoende. Bijgeleverde instructies waren helder.
