My husband and I are renovating an older 1990 home that used to have the absolute ugliest vertical blinds throughout the house, including the sliding glass door leading to the Florida room from our kitchen. I didn’t want to swap old blinds for newer ones—I wanted something sleek, modern, and functional. This frosted window film delivered exactly that! The horizontal lines add a clean, contemporary vibe and give the door a high-end, almost architectural look. It lets in soft, diffused light while providing privacy. The end result looks polished and custom—like something you'd see in a luxury place, not a DIY project. Application was a breeze. It was easy to cut and forgiving during install. The bubbles worked out nicely, but be warned—leave at least 1/8 inch on each edge. If you go edge to edge, the bubbles get trapped and it won’t adhere properly. Once it dried, it stuck securely and hasn't lifted at all. Prep is key! We scraped off any gunk, cleaned with glass cleaner, then went over everything with soapy ammonia water before squeegeeing it dry. During install, spray everything: the glass, the adhesive side of the film, even the front. You’ll absolutely need a good squeegee to get the best results. If you’re looking for an affordable upgrade that instantly modernizes a space, this is it. Highly recommend!

This film is so pretty. Provides the privacy that was needed and very easy to install. I love how the room lights up now with colors when the sun shines in. Photos show before and after from the inside.

I purchased black and it works well. Easy to use and water works fine to apply. One user gave good instructions and that made it easy. It looks nice to for added privacy in my basement. The corners are a little challenging to pull apart the plastic backing. I just bent a corner back and forth until I could get my fingernail in between them to pull it off.

Here’s a polished Amazon-ready version: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Four Stars I’m giving this four stars only because it I am not able to get the bubbles out. I’m using it only temporarily because a neighbor’s cat has been bullying mine by peeking through the windows, and this film completely stopped him from looking inside. You can still clearly see everything outside, which is exactly what I wanted. Tip: cut it slightly larger than needed and use an X-Acto knife. Installation is very easy overall.

The only thing I would caution when installing the product is cutting the edges - even with an X-Acto knife. Due to the thickness of the product you should take special care when cutting the edges off. A soft cloth is best to smooth bubbles you can scratch the surface up. When it is dark out and indoor lights are on you are able to see inside. It is best when indoor lights are off. If you just need a reduction in sunlight (tint) this may not matter much. My goals: I wanted to keep a window open during the day for sunlight without passerby's being able to see on the inside. Looks mirrored from the outside. Tinted view from the inside. Works!

I needed something to keep the light coming in but still have privacy on a ADU front door. This did the trick. It was very easy to apply and looks great. The hardest thing was pulling the back sheet off the film. So I used strong tape on the smooth side and that did the trick.

The film is a decent thickness, but not easy for a 73-year old woman to handle. Don't install it on a windy day. Also, I highly recommend using a T-square, which I don't have anymore, to cut a straight, square edge. It looks nice if you can get all the water/air bubbles out. The roll I bought was enough to cover the upper half of a sash window. I recommend overlapping the pieces of film, and then cutting through both of them and removing the excess so that they overlap perfectly, as you would with wallpaper. Luckily, I have fake mullions on the window, so I hid that overlap cut behind a mullion. I deducted two stars because there was a crease in the second piece I cut - it was hidden in the roll until I cut off the first piece. There was not enough film left to avoid having to use the second piece with the visible crease. I wasn't happy about that. Had it been near the outer edge, I could have returned it before cutting the second piece. The bubbles are nearly impossible to remove, or they were for me. I'm not sure I would recommend this, but I'm not taking it down until I see how it works on a sunny day.

film efficace en terme de brise vue, tout en laissant passer une jolie luminosité. j'ai entendu des passants s'arrêter devant mes fenêtres et se demander si elles étaient ciselées, l'effet est donc très réussi. la pose n'est pas difficile, je me suis aidée d'un sèche cheveux lorsque les coins ne voulaient pas adhérer, ça a très bien marché et depuis que c'est en place, rien ne se décolle.

Complete privacy from staring neighbours! Very easy to install. The corners did lift (maybe we over stretched them.) Lifted the corners up, wet the glass and fixed it.

This is a great product! Very useful if you’re renting and need to create a private space! Very beautiful and when the sunshine’s little rainbows shin through which is lovely! So easy to assemble as well!
