I initially purchased these Feed Garden 12-inch rebar stakes to secure our chicken run, a dog cage, and sections of outdoor fencing around the yard, and they have exceeded every expectation. Their heavy-duty construction is immediately noticeable, and once driven properly into the soil, they lock everything down completely. The sharp, pointed tip allows the stakes to penetrate firm ground surprisingly easily, though I suggest tapping them in with a rubber mallet to avoid damaging the top ends during setup. The 12-inch length strikes the perfect balance—offering exceptional depth and holding power while remaining straightforward to install. Each piece is sealed with a tough black coating that wards off rust and keeps them looking great despite exposure to the elements. Their true durability was put to the test during recent severe windstorms featuring gusts exceeding 40 mph. Even with high-wind tension against the canopies on our chicken run and covered dog cage, everything remained anchored solid without moving a single inch. They’re not some flimsy metal they’re nice and solid and they should hold my 10 x 10dog kennel in place in a strong wind storm

I purchased these steaks because my pitbull loves to pull the fence and try to get under it. These are really easy to use and heavy duty and work great! If you have a dog who likes to try to escape, I would highly recommend them.

These are good for anything you want to stake down

I got these for staking tents in clay in a very windy environment. Did the job well, but were a bear to get into the ground. I ended up wacking with my Walmart mallet for the better part of 20 minutes to get all 8 required stakes in. It you're extremely patient you might manage to drive the darn thing without bending the metal, more likely though you'll end up with a moderate to significant bend after driving it and will have to throw the twisted metal out after a single use. That being said, if you're not driving these into hard clay, you'll probably have a much easier time, and however hard they were to get in, they were very secure while being a breeze to get out, just hook and pull. It seems like plain, straight stakes are easy in, hard out, whereas bended stakes are hard in easy out. There's probably a "best of both worlds" solution out there that has a section which can be pounded with a mallet, but another section that can be hooked and pulled.

Good value Used to make little garden fence to keep guy with weed wacker away... Purchased a bright red rope n wrap knotted at each metal cane pole.. Holding up all summer...

How does chain-link fence put in and the dogs immediately started digging underneath it bought these products. It was a miracle. They were defeated rapidly. Save my Lawn save the fence with one package I was able to secure the entire fence and the gate.
