I'm using them for a magnetic spice rack, and 1 magnet per 4 oz container is plenty. I glued 3 to the containers full of salt for extra protection from the weight, but I think 2 would have sufficed. I watched a YouTube video on handling and separating the magnets. I didn't have a single one snap, break, or fly across to the others. Just be smart about handling them. Great little magnets. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very strong *by R***E on March 13, 2014* They're not kidding when they say these things are strong. I've had spoons, spray cans, heck even my x-acto knife fly through the air to cling to these things. Getting one magnet off of the stack is quite the work-out. When I glue them to the fridge magnets I've been making, I have to space them about 6" apart to let them dry. If I don't, the magnets either fly out of the glue to latch onto each other or if they're flipped, they'll push each other away and slide right out of the glue.Honestly, while the black magnets are much weaker, I find these to be overkill for my purposes. I don't need to hold ten tons to my fridge, just the random piece of paper, haha. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ then they work terrific. *by R***N on February 6, 2015* These magnets are FAR stronger than I expected. I wanted them for fridge magnets (attaching a stack of three to homemade crafts to adhere to the fridge) but probably bought too high of a rating...they are much stronger than the hot glue I was using for attachment. I played around with them for a bit upon opening and ended up breaking a lone one when it got caught up in the pull of the main stack. It smacked against the stack and shattered. After that I watched the youtube videos as suggested in the packaging, which explain how to properly detach and attach individual magnets from the stack.
