Are there any reviews for maui moisture, lightweight curls + flaxseed shampoo? all of the reviews appear to be for a curl refresher spray.

Hi I purchase both the shampoo and cream rinse and I love them. My hair is curly, not super curly but curly. I would say it is medium thick and this stuff works great. I don't like the refresher spray at all though. Hope this helps.

I've heard a lot of people say this is a clarifying shampoo. is this true? if it is its strange the label doesn't say so

It has olefin sulfonate, which is different from sulfates but still a surfactant, which according to the curly girl method (I think) makes it a clarifying shampoo in CGM terms. (If you look at the bottom of the front label of the bottle it says "sulfate-free surfactants.") Olefin sulfonate shampoos will clean hair more than low-poo/no-poo shampoos but are still less harsh that sulfate shampoos.

Great lightweight shampoo for thin to medium thick curly hair

I have long medium thick curly hair. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve been noticing the products I used to rely upon do not work the same way. I was often unhappy with my hair. At first I was hesitant because it doesn’t foam much, but it left my hair squeaky clean and feeling fresh. The real test was how my hair looked after it dried. It wasn’t as much curl as I was hoping for, but what there was consisted of nice loose and long ringlets. Reading previous review I know many complained over the smell. I love it. It smells clean and in a way reminds me of something in the mint family. The smell does stay with you, but I did it find it as strong as others said. I only needed a dollop about the size of a quarter and took my time working it in. I am very happy with it so far.
