Thai Knorr Tom Yum Seasoning Cubes 24g. (Pack of 3)

I love this soup base as is, but "doctor it up"! Proteins of any kind, a cup or 2 of coconut milk, I use half and half or cream. Add mushrooms and a small bag of Asian vegs. Use fresh veg of any type. Once you taste it...you'll be slipping sauces onto rice, noodles, BBQ, soup, etc. Spicy, not hot.

These are awesome for fast and easy Tom Kha soup. Take 6-8 cups water -- 1 Tom Yum seasoning cube -- 1 chicken boullion cube -- 1/2 can coconut milk. Heat together until it starts to boil. Delicious just like that, or even better with some fresh ginger, galengal and kaffir lime leaves added. If I'm in a huge hurry, I take ramen noodles and turn them into Tom Kha ramen noodle soup using the above recipe. I've made Tom Kha soup from scratch, and had it in restaurants, and while I won't say my quick and dirty recipe above tastes just as good, it is quite decent for the very small amount of effort involved. I don't like super spicy, so one Tom Yum cube is enough for me, but you can add two (or more) if you like it spicier. These cubes are great, and the price seems reasonable. I will continue to purchase.

I have no complaints on taste. The flavor is fantastic, but I confess the boxes were a tad smaller than I anticipated. However that's my fault for not double checking the size. Otherwise this arrived quickly and the flavor was exactly what I was looking for.

These bouillon cubes are flavorful, but the directions are lacking. I placed the cubes (each package come with two) in boiling water and waited for them to dissolve. That took about one minute. The broth tasted good. However, I'm wondering if I should have boiled the broth longer. When I poured my second bowl from the pot, the broth had cooled somewhat. There was a little bit of red powder, which coated my spoon, bowl, and tongue. Not pleasant. Maybe the soup should be eaten only when it's hot. It's a nice soup base other than that. It needs no other seasoning.

Growing up eating tom yum soup my whole life. This is a great soup based. Making tom yum is so easy now. Will be buying again.

This is a must have for any Thai food lover. I immediately ordered again after i tasted my soup and curry. I am sure the price will increase but I think this is a good deal for the product. You get 6 cubes for less than the price of a small cup of soup at a Thai restaurant. it is very salty so I only use 1/4 of a cube in my single serve dishes. If you eat bigger portions you will need more of the seasoning. Also, this is similar to the broth in the Mama Tom Yum noodles but without the fishy taste.

These packs are small, this soup can be found cheaper in more cosmolitan locations. But living in an Asian food desert, this is just perfect. Tasty and shelf stable, ready for the next tom yum fix.
