It did not solve my problem with check engine light coming on but the gas cap fit and worked just fine!

THIS GAS CAP DOES NOT FIT A 2005 TOYOTA MATRIX XR
This gas cap does not fit a Toyota Matrix XR. The cap is too loose and does not create any kind of seal for the EVAP system to work properly, as such, the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT will come on. It cost me an additional $75 to find this out. Unfortunately, Amazon does not offer an easy way to return this, other than "dropping it off at a Whole Foods". A shipping label would have been much easier for me, as I am disabled and walking anywhere is a huge challenge.

Good quality product at a fair price
It fit my Toyota Camry perfectly. Looks almost identical to the OE cap. It fit tightly after tightening until one click. The old cap was worn out and was noticeably looser after tightening until one click. The check engine light went out and has stayed out. The biggest difference between this cap and a replacement cap from Toyota seems to be the price.
