It broke within two months
We have owned this for less than two months and it is already broken. A nut on the interior of the base rusted and, as a result, the whole steel base snapped. In addition, the advertising printed on the sand bag is tacky. I thought I would ignore that because we needed a sturdy base but now I regret not sending it back immediately.

Almost good enough. Weak connection base to post.
I bolted them (got 4) to the deck as the base with sand bags was still not stable enough in the wind. But the base connection on the post is weak the tab holding the connection nut has only 4 small spot welds, I suspect metal fatigue will eventually break them. So far they lasted half the summer. First half used resin bases weighted with sand bags, but they kept falling on even light breeze. Tried bolting them to the deck but they cracked. Then got these. Will see how long they last. (10/21)

Could Be Good, Has Major Design Flaw
It is a good concept and well made EXCEPT for the flimsy metal tab welded on the inside of the upright tube to hold the screw. The welds on the tab broke with the first medium wind. The upright tube is thin walled and so we could not repair it with a new weld. We had a welding shop put a 8in “collar” around the base and tube and permanently weld the structure together for strength. I guess if you never move it, dont have windy conditions, this would work OK.

Too expensive to only last 3 months.
I have a 11 foot octagon umbrella, it did fine the first month but with the constant winds we have it started to lean badly. I had to bend it back straight only for the wind to bend it back to the leaning position. The bracket in the picture is too weak for big umbrellas in windy areas.

Durable and works great!
I bought this for our patio. We have several umbrellas. This is the best stand we have ever bought. Strong and doesn't break even in a storm. Very pleased!

Good but leaves rust behind
I like the look, the shape and it seems sturdy. Not easy to move and it leaves rust behind after being wet. Not happy about that. But otherwise, it’s a good stand.

Nice and heavy, poor paint job
Nice and heavy like I wanted, but had a large 1 inch section of paint missing on the side. Pretty obvious looking.

A little rust
I have had this now for a couple months. It has kept the umbrella in place and has done a great job through some high winds. Only downside is a little rust on the deck under the base. We aren’t moving the table/base so I don’t care too much. Just a little unfortunate.
