Very good in soups stews and casseroles
This is a really good soup mix that I use a few times a week using the colder months. It adds substance to soups, stews and casseroles unlike anything else. Personally I love the barley which gives texture to vegetarian meals but I also use it in meaty dishes too. I especially like the blend in this brand, it is high quality and cooks up very well!

I soak overnight which needs a little planning. I cook these for 50 mins which is combined with various root veg cooked gently for half the time.
