Voodoo Lab Pedal Power MONDO Isolated Power Supply

At first my guitar was picking up noise from the MONDO. Please note that it was definitely the guitar and not something else in the signal path. After reorganizing my pedal board and repositioning the MONDO the problem went away. Testing again by laying the guitar directly on top of the MONDO resulted in the guitar picking up a lot of hum/noise from the MONDO. The same was true with a Donner ISO8. I think all of these pedal power supplies that have the transformer built-in emit electromagnetic interference and noise in the air around them. But they DO NOT introduce any noise into the guitar signal path, and actually do a very good job or providing clean power to the guitar pedals. This MONDO is a really nice unit and very well made.

This power supply is not cheap and will run you as much as an expensive effect pedal. That said I tried the cheap route and bought a couple Otraki Power Supplies which turned out to be a disaster. They were so noisy and my pedals emitted a lot of noise when engaged. I had to use a noise gate pedal to suppress it and make the setup usable. I finally decided to return them and invest in the Mondo. The difference is night and day. This thing is dead silent and I can use this one supply for all my pedals going to the preamp stage. I have a separate supply for my FX loop pedals. It is so versatile. You even have a couple outputs with a power sag feature. I wish the cables were a little longer but they work just fine. I Just have to be careful when moving my board around. This thing is too big to mount so having a little extra length would have been nice. I tested plugging my guitar directly into the amp versus running it through the board and the amp floor noise was the same. If you are going to invest in a pedal board array versus a multi effects board then you have to invest in A. A high quality power supply and B. High quality cables. As I have read, a pedal board is only as good as it's weakest link.

This is the most powerful DC brick out there, no doubt about it. The high current isolated banks are crucial for powering my rig which contains a BOSS RC-50 (450 mA), TC Helicon Triple Delay (300 mA), SHURE GLX-D (250 mA), a few standard 100 mA pedals, and a vocal processor (Gigitech Vocalist Live) that actually runs on AC- hooray for the courtesy AC outlet on the back! The tone that I am getting out of my pedals has improved so much since switching to the MONDO. Seriously. Much fatter sound than I was getting before, lower hum too. I'll also note that Voodoo Lab has a very responsive tech support guy who REALLY helped me out a lot! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the annoying clicking sound that I'm getting from my product's cooling fan. Once I crank up the volume it's not a huge deal, but having anything making noise on my massive rig is a pain! Great brick. Highly recommend it.

They are not kidding when they call this power supply Mondo. This thing is huge, and features plenty of output options for virtually any pedal board configuration. I really should have bought this supply first. Even though it's pricier than many other supplies, it will grow with any musician's needs. Like all of the Voodoo Labs supplys, it is isolated so works with a variety of pedal types with no noise or interference. It comes with a variety of cables to hook up with all kinds of pedals. Highly recommended.

Been using a Mr. Power daisy chain wort to power my pedal board. Bought a new VOX AC15C1 , and though I had a bad amp because of all the hum and hiss coming off my pedal board,, but going from guitar to amp, there was only typical tube amp hiss. All cables checked out ok. That told me it was the wall wort. Hated to spend so much on a power supply, BUT I can tell you this Voodoo Lab Mondo made all the difference in the world. My pedal board has 11 pedals, and all plugged into the Mondo, it is totally silent now outside of the normal hiss coming from the tubes. Using a decibel meter, I determined the wall wart induced 12 decibels into the amp, and the Mondo induced none. Don;t hesitate to buy this. Pedals cost enough, why not get the most out of them with a great power supply.

So glad I purchased this to upgrade my Pedal Power 2 Plus. I am starting to need a bunch of digital pedals that are power vampires. On my old pedal power i could tell using the 250ma my Strymon timeline was starving for power due to long boot times and less than stellar headroom. Also my Line 6 g50 wireless took FOREVER to connect to the guitar body pack. Purchasing this I am able to run all my discrete pedals plus my power hungry digital ones.

Powers everything I own! This power supply ticks all the boxes for me. I have a mix of digital & analog pedals, and a boomerang 3 looper on my board. These pedals have varying voltage and current requirements, but I’m able to power all of them safely with this power supply. Just a note... one of the outlets was dead on arrival, but swapping it out was easy enough. The new one works perfectly. I’ve owned several Voodoo Labs power supplies in the past, and this was the first issue I’ve ever encountered with any of them. So, I think it was just a fluke.

I needed a power supply for my pedal board that would eliminate my hum/noise problem. Of the options I considered, I went with the MONDO because it had the multiple independent power outputs I needed. Some outputs have high current (2 @ 250 mA and 2 @ 400 mA) or voltage sag; I only needed the 250 mA outputs, but the others may come in handy in the future. This unit has a cooling fan and no protruding switches which were features I liked. My only complaint is that the MONDO is not compatible with 230 VAC for use in Europe. Nevertheless, I am thrilled that I have the correct power for all my effects and that I am free of the hum noise that was coming from my pedal board. I definitely recommend the MONDO and I give it 5 stars.

Bought to future proof my pedal board (pedal deck), and really happy with it so far. No audible buzzing, solid construction and sag feature is fun. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with all the cable variations (which they sell separately). It comes with loads of the standard boss style power cables, but at this price I would expect the addition of at least one of each of the variations.

Good product, powers peddles, no buzz through amp. Four stars because for the price you pay for the item. They do not supply a kettle plug power cable with product. So may need to buy your own. It came with a power lead that does not fit the product.
