Review: It charges lithium batteries - Received it recently so don't know about its longevity, but so far it has worked great. It's connected to two 160 solar panels, which are connected in series. So far, the input voltage has not gotten above 40 volts, which is well within the range of the 52 volts max input voltage of the charger. The battery it maintains is a 20A 12 volts Lithium type battery. Installation is simple; connect the battery and then the solar charger. It comes with a small clear and precise manual; a PDF manual can also be downloaded. Pros; it's easy to make adjustments, including selecting battery type, thanks to the included manual. When first plugged in, at least in my case, AGM battery was selected...perhaps its default setting. Cons; does no have a load input connection, so the load must be connected to the battery. This requires a separate switch to turn the load on/off. So far it has worked and I recommend it.

My experience with my new edition voyager charge controller was an easy installation and spot on with the battery temperature reading in celcius. I could not change from celcius to fahrenheit which was a big disappointment. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this temperatue sensor.

The negative 20a Voyager is an older model that will not have an activation mode for Li batteries. The new version both PG and NG will be able to activate Li batteries.

**Q: will this work with a 30v 200watt panel because its only rated for 24v?**
A: You should be okay using it with the 30 volts, 200 watt panel. The charge controller specifications of PV Input Voltage Range: 15V-55V and
Max. PV Power: 260W (12V) / 520W (24V) are rated higher than the panel.

**Q: How many 160w solar panels can it handle?**
A: Max input is 270 watts, so one.
