Every synthetic rigger brush I've ever used for oil develops a tiny curl at the point. How well do these brushes maintain their original point?

The point ends of my brushes have retained their shape without curling after numerous uses. I only use acrylic paints, not oils, but if cleaned properly after each use you should be fine.

Do these brushes work for face painting?

I have not used them for face painting, so I dont know.
