SodaStream Source Plastic Edition Starter Kit with 3-pk Bottles (WHITE)

I am in love with this soda maker. I use it only to make sparkling water and it has the perfect fizz when I just go to setting 1 (there are different stages of carbonation). If you are familiar with carbonation strenghts from European sparkling waters, setting one would be slightly below medium. I use filtered NYC tap water and it tastes great.It is very easy to use, too. Fizzing up a bottle takes only a few seconds. The machine grabs the bottle and holds it, while you just press the "lever" (actually the top part of the machine) as long as you want. Try out different carbonation strenghts and find your own. I also like that it came with 3 bottles (you might find you drink so much more water than before).It also isn't looking bad and the fact, that it is mechanical and you don't need an outlet, makes it great for outdoors too.I can't speak for the lifetime of a 60l tank as I haven't used the unit for 60l yet (I am probably around 50l), but I also only use setting 1.All in all, I couldn't be happier.

Unstable to fill because lacks ledge to hold the bottle being filled. In the first week, our sodas have spilled all over the place. Also the minimalist design is confusing. I can't tell when it is done or what the drips mean (levels 1, 2, 3) because they ARE NOT LABELED and there is NO SIGNAL that the bottle is completely carbonated. DO NOT LIKE IT.

I'm disappointed with this product. I thought it was going to be fizzier. My friends rave about the soda stream, but I never thought to ask what model they have. I use the max amount of fizz and I can barely tell that it's carbonated. I've also noticed that the bottles don't hold there fizz very well. A friend told me it helps to have the bottles cold before fizzing them, but I haven't started trouble shooting the issue.
