I HAVE TO SAY IM IMPRESSED WITH THIS REEL SO FAR. ITS REALLY SMOOTH AND THE BALE RELEASES NICE AND EASY WHEN YOU REAL IN AFTER A CAST. SOME REELS YOU STRUGGLE WHEN YOU FIRST REEL IN TO GET THE BAIL TO GO BACK. I FISH TROPHY CARP AND WILL BE GIVING ANOTHER REVIEW AFTER A FEW BIG ONE ARE LANDED. FOR NOW, I REALLY LIKE IT.

I have 3 of these. I absolutely love them for carp fishing. Its so efficient to be able to flip a switch when you grab it out of your rod pod and your drag is set to fight a fish. Strong drag and smooth reeling. These have been in water, sand, mud, and just about anything else around a body of water. A quick cleanup and your good to go. Always do a maintenance look over in the spring but have had no issues whatsoever.

Works really good for the price. Plastic body but very sturdy. It does what it is intended to do. I put 100 lb braid on mine. And I'm sure I could reel in a walrus with it.

I would do 0 if I could. And this is sad. I love the Sougayilang brand and I use many reals. I have now tried 3 of these and the Screw that holds the wire loop / bail wire and the attachment is horribly defective. I started with an order of 2 bait feeders. 1 of the 2 blew up and fell into the water as I was fighting a fish. I ordered a 3rd to replace the one that blew up. This came with the bearings, screw, washer in the bottom of the box. I tried to screw them all together but the threads in the plastic were stripped out. Now out of 3 reels, 2 are bad/defective and I just looked at the 3rd. Yep. just hardly holding on.

Got this a reel a while back to replace another bait feeder reel that quit on me and i didn’t need something expensive. First few fishing trips the reel was perfect but the line kept getting dragged under the spool since it pops outwards too much. Wasn’t over spooled but i still took out some line. Fast foward to today 8/12/26 and on a fishing trip down at the keys, asbefore, the reel handles anything that gets hooked perfectly BUT, again, the line keeps getting wrapped under the spool when both casting or reeling in. This time it was bad. Ended up losing at least 15-20 meters of line because it got tangled so bad so many times. While the reel is strong and handles fish like a champ, i still cannot recommend it to any fellow fisherman due to the spool problem. You will end up getting your line wrapped and losing chunks of it.

The reel is great. It looks good, and can do some heavy lifting. The baitfeeder feature is perfect for the river fishing I do. The fish takes the bait and feels no resistance while there is an audible clicking to let you know a fish is on, then bam, just reel down hard to set the hook! It's a little cheaper than the Okuma reel I've been using but does the job equally well. I'll be ordering a few more for when I take people with me. *Update* the first picture is a 53" sturgeon and the second is a 64" I caught about a week later. The reel handled the first one really well but even with the drag completely maxed out the larger fish just about peeled every foot of line I had on the spool off before I was able to make any progress bringing it back in. I still landed the fish and it was an epic fight, but I think I've found the max (or more) that the reel is designed to handle. I hope they make one with a 50lb drag in the future, but I still highly recommend this one to anyone trying to hook up to some monsters.

This reel works great. I've brought it on a trip to Hawaii as well as a week in Florida on the ocean side and it's handled the salt like a pro. I haven't hooked into any massive fish but it's handled the smaller ones no problem. The salt hasn't taken a toll on it as far as I can tell. I didn't rinse it at all for the week in Hawaii until I got home and it's still quite smooth reeling. I've had it for just about a year now and if I needed another reel this size, I'd definitely buy it again.

Line gets stuck under the spool. Since spool is missing 50% of its cover lol

supose to be a 5000 reel size but the same size as a 3000 ! easy to put a 5000 sticker on a reel ! box in a bag box whas damage cheap shipping.
