No. These are washable so likely water based whereas permanent markers are alcohol based. That being said they can still stain if not washed out immediately or on some materials hence the stain advisement : “Keep away from wallpaper, painted walls, finished and unfinished wood, vinyl, carpeting, and other material that cannot be laundered.” There washing & care is for most washable clothing : “wash promptly in hot water cycle. Do not use prewash or chlorine bleach. Repeat laundering may be required.” A good carpet cleaner with hot water should work if accidentally colored on the carpet or sofa.
