Pleasantly surprised!
I live in a dorm, and since there is only one mirror in the room for two of us, I decided to buy a makeup mirror for myself so we don't end up fighting for "mirror space" on busy mornings. Plus, I also wanted one that could light up so I would still be able to do my makeup in a dark room whilst my roommate is sleeping. In the end, I was stuck between the Conair light up mirror (which was being sold on Amazon for $29) and this mirror. I was a little skeptical (since I had never heard of the brand), but I decided to take the plunge and buy this one instead so I could save $4, and also because the reviews for the Conair said that the light was too dim. And I have to say, I'm so glad I chose this one instead! This mirror is powered by batteries, so there is no unsightly mess of cords. Also a plus is the acrylic organizer at the bottom. However, my favorite feature has to be the ability to control the brightness of the light!! You literally hold the button to dim it to whatever level you want. Additionally, at its brightest, I can do my makeup in a dark room. I think the only complaint I have is that because of the magnification of the mirror, when you try to step back to see "big picture", it gets blurry. However, the magnification is perfect for doing your makeup though! (or maybe not, because the magnification meant I could see all my pores so I spent twice as much time trying to cover up all the imperfections I didn't see before!)

Best Mirror for your Buck
This is one of the best items I've ever bought on Amazon. I've gone through several makeup mirrors, but the Daisi mirror not only has the best light, but also the best clarity. I needed a mirror with batteries, this fit the bill. I've had much more expensive mirrors, and I was shocked at how well-lit this item was and blown away by the clarity of the glass. I went to various cosmetic stores, looked on line, and this mirror is perfect. Daisi's my brand from now on.

Nice little make up vanity and light in one
The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because it is 7x magnification and I was really looking for 10x. That being said, it's a good purchase for the price. It is lightweight and can be assembled/disassembled easily. I love the fact that it holds makeup. I can put blush, two mascaras, tweezer, eyebrow brush and a lipstick all in the base for easy access. The light on/off just requires a light touch. Needs 3 AA batteries which are not included.

Malfunctioning battery-eater
Pros: This mirror is great when it works! The lights are decently bright when fresh batteries are first installed- not bright enough to be standalone, but enough to make a difference. The magnification is the perfect amount, and is easily positioned to what you need for all the different makeup steps. The storage on it is alright, it's where I keep all my non-eyeshadow brushes, and has perfect little slots in the back for keeping your sponges. It's probably enough for you if you don't have/use a lot of makeup and have a simple routine.Cons: One of the biggest problems is that it doesn't work very long. It sucks through batteries SO quickly! You get maybe 2-3 makeup applications before the batteries start noticeably dying and the light becoming dimmer and dimmer. The cost of the batteries you have to go through to use is just not worth the cost of this mirror. The other big problem is that the on/off touch pad constantly malfunctions. I can only get it to turn off upon first press about 1/3 of the time- sometimes it'll take 10 freaking minutes actually turn off. This drains the batteries even more, as well as when it'll randomly turn itself on, which is often. It's extremely aggravating, unresponsive, and a waste of batteries. I'm very disappointed in it, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Nice looking ... jury still out on the total function
It takes 3 AA batteries for the light to work. However, it doesn't appear as if the light goes out completely, which will probably mean more batteries. Had to remove a battery for the light to go out totally. However, glad there isn't a cord because it can be placed anywhere in the room. There's a touch button that even if you gently rub your finger over it, it turns the light on easily. There's only one brightness setting and in my opinion. The mirror attaches to a nice organizer where you can place makeup items, nail polish, face serums, etc. You can also un-attach the mirror and use it as a handheld. Awesome! It seems quite sturdy but I don't feel comfortable traveling with it. My daughter is a dancer and travels a lot with a lot of things; afraid it may not survive. For home use, to keep on your vanity or desk- I can definitely recommend this. It's very nice and the mirror magnifies very well. I love the look of this mirror with organizer and think it would make a lovely gift.

Nice and well made
I bought this as part of a gift and the recipient really liked it! She opened it in front of me and it is a good size and looks very durable and well made. The mirror is magnifying which I guess is good for make up application and it has a halo light which is also very nice. Batteries are not included for the light but that’s not that big a deal since the mirror is so nice and so well made.

Best I've ever owned
I just recieved this today and rhis review is based upon just receiving. I will update if things change. This makeup mirror is the best I've ever had. The magnification and light is only one setting but seems to be perfect. I like that it takes batteries and I dont have another cord to mess around with. I just hope it continues to function properly but based on other reviews I'm a little worried.
