Classy watch at an accessible price
Love the Breguet homage look and the price point for a Swiss-made, and have received several compliments on this watch. A nice change up from my usual, sporty diver's & driver's watches and the size is just right. I think that the 38mm version might be just a little too "tall" with the thickness of the case being the same as this one, but at 40mm it feels just fine.I do have a few things I would change about it though:1) The strap needed to be almost immediately replaced with a more substantial one. A Hirsch Duke in dark blue did the trick for <$50, and makes the watch much more wearable. The stock croco-calf strap creased upon the first wear, and upper layer of embossed leather started separating and creating a bubbled look to it. Also small bits flaking off around the buckle pin holes.2) The winding of the movement in my piece is less than ideal, it makes a very slight (but noticeable when I am waking it up from storage) scraping or grinding sound when it winds. I have not noticed any dust or excessive wear upon examination through the case back (under 5X loupe), so I can only assume that this is ok for now and does not need to be corrected immediately. Not sure if this is common to SW-300 movements (the base for FC-303), but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't worry me every now and then.3) One corner of the date window is not cut as precisely as it should be. There is a somewhat noticeable (without magnification) edge or some sort of remnant left over from the stamping process.Other than those minor gripes, this is a great watch for the money. The guilloche dial, although obviously stamped and not machined (not at all a criticism at this price point, just an observation) is very finely done and overall quality of fit and finish far exceeds what I would have expected. The dial and case work are exceptional (other than the date window corner I mentioned above), and I find myself admiring it more often than actually checking the time. But then again, I'm a nerd for these tiny time machines. I do like that it's more interesting to look at than most of my other dials though, due to the different surfaces it presents (especially in the sunlight). The FC-303 movement is not decorated but is functional and a solid workhorse. Date change starts at 11:30 and finishes around 12:05. Time keeping on the wrist is more than acceptable at this price, averaging +4-5 sec/day...Overall, a very solid value for the money. If you're in love with the Breguet Classique designs (as I am) but don't have $20-30K to blow on a watch (as I don't), this is a fine alternative that I am betting will serve me well for quite a few years to come. I can honestly highly recommend any Freddy C watch to anyone that the design sings to, this company truly stands by their marketing slogan of "accessible luxury".

Frederique Constant FC-303MC3P6
I bought this watch for myself after being promoted to Captain as a promotion gift. I wanted a simple, elegent, Roman Numeral dress watch with an automatic movement from a reputable watchmaker in Geneve. For my money, I don't think you'll find anything better than this in that category. This watch everything I want in a dress watch. Its very inconspicuous and just slim enough to fit under a dress shirt. Its got a very nice case size (38mm) espeically for guys like me with smaller wrists. The dial and watch hands are absolutely beautiful; stunning Silver guilloche textured dial under a crystal clear saphire with beautiful classic black hands. Wonderful craftsmanship from a great independent (not Swatch) watchmaker in Geneve. The movement is a sturdy, automatic redesigned ETA (made by Swatch) which has a great reputation for being accurate and durable with a smooth sweep. I use a Versa watch winder and even though I only wear this to Mass on Sundays or special occasion outings, it averages a gain of about 7 seconds/day which is pretty amazing for a common swiss movement. I did replace the band with a shorter leather band and I also added a deployment clasp. A watch as nice as this definitely needs a deployment, in my opinion. Honestly, I can't think of anything really negative about this timepiece. I suppose if I could change one thing, I would make it a bit slimmer, but that just hasn't been that big of an issue for me. If you want a beautiful, classic dress watch without the flashy frills that are so common these days in modern watches, this is a great watch to consider. Highly recommended.

sent it back for repairs and it still doesn't keep time
Looks great but doesn't keep time unless it's worn constantly. Looses time despite sending to Amazon's specialty watch repair location which took months to return only to have the same problem.Disappointed with this purchase.

ok
I bought this watch at 4 Dec 2015 after reading quite a lot of good comments on this.So far, this watch has been OK for me, not as excellent as I had expected, but not too bad.It runs fast some days, and slow some other days (can be 10 seconds per day).

Good watch (with one small note)
This is pretty good watch. I have relatively small wrists and the "modern" big watches don't look good when I'm wearing them.I specifically looked for something relatively small, with non-metal strap. Another requirement was "simple look".This watch matches the requirements. But in the process of using the watch I found that I have to constantly wear it. If I don't wear the watch for a few hours, it will stop. The manufacturer is claiming that watch will continue to operate for 42 hours if untouched. In reality this is about 6-7 hours. I found the workaround - wind the watch every morning and evening. Kinda old school and I actually like it.

Very nice, classic watch
Very nice, classic watch! A Breguet but missing a digit in the price! I like that the bottom numerals are upside down, the traditional way to do it! A value winner for people who like high-end watches.

Amazon Gift packaging needs improvement/quality control
this is the second watch purchase I made in less than a month. Ordered both with gift packaging and both came with torn card and paper. Does not look good specially with item like this one which has its own superb box. Fix it and it will be perfect !
