I bought 2 when they were on sale, based on all the positive reviews. I have to agree that this is a great tool, with the sharp edges digging in to get to the root of those annoying weeds, making removal a breeze. The only (slightly) negative thing I have to say is that the plastic sheath is uncomfortable to wear, and falls off if I'm not careful. Since I'm climbing around on a 40 degree hillside slope while trying to weed, it's not ideal to wear it at my waist, but as long as I can carry it around or tie it to my belt loop, it is TOTALLY worth the price, even if I throw away the sheath. I'd buy two more if I could get it on sale again, since my family fights over who gets to use this tool!

This tool is incredible! I may never use a conventional trowel again, and I am an avid gardener. Give it a try, it is well worth it. Great for pulling weeds and everything you need while working in the beds. Very sturdy, looks like it will last. The case is very sturdy but it is hard to get it out and get the case onto your belt, so I just pull it out and take it everywhere with me and then put it in the case when I am done. Great tool!

This tool has proven to be a fantastic addition to my gardening toolkit. It effortlessly drives into the ground, allowing me to remove unwanted plants and weeds with ease. The only minor inconvenience is the slightly unwieldy sheath that comes with it. It's made out of hard plastic and bulky. However, overall, I am highly satisfied with the product and its effectiveness in simplifying my gardening tasks.

I had a Fiskars version of this but my wife snapped the handle off of it while digging out day lilly roots. This one is much sturdier. It has a full tang and solid wood grips. It cuts roots very well and is an excellent pryer. The included scabbard is a very tight fit and it is a bit of a pain to use but it works very well. I usually don't carry it in the scabbard while using it and just store it in it.

L O L if you go on YouTube, look up David the Good and by the way, I recommend his books sold here on Amazon. But he uses a machete for just about everything and so when I bought this, I laugh and fantasize that I am like him. L O L but in reality, it is very useful and well-made and I use this over anything else, definitely recommend.

What a great value in this quality tool! My wife uses hers for gardening and I use minefor metal detecting.

I have wanted a hori hori knife for years. I finally got this one and am so glad I did! It helps me plant seeds and plants, and weeds don't stand a chance against it. I can saw small branches, cut twine, open packages. I use it all the time! I especially love the plastic sheath it comes with. It protects the knife and yet it's easy to release the knife for use. Leather sheaths have stitching that can break. I highly recommend this knife.

I'm always reaching for this thing if I'm out in the garden. It seems to work well with whatever I try to use it for. I even used it to cut perfect holes in the lawn for sprinkler heads and it was basically the perfect tool for this.

Fiancée is an avid gardener. We have a big garden with big weeds. Now she has a bigger knife. Weeds beware.
