Very Short belt!
I love the belt. No unpleasant smell as some described. However, I won't be wearing it because it won't fit around me. I'm a size 12, not enormous and the macrame section barely covered back area of my waist leaving only the ties in front. Don't buy if you are average size or larger.

my belt is a total of 75 inches long. the macrame portion is 29 inches long with an additional inch on either end where the ends of the macrame are bound before becoming the fringe. the fringe is plenty long to knot or tie in a bow. there is absolutely no odor to this belt (see previous comments). i plan on customizing the fringe ends by adding contrasting beads depending on what i am wearing the belt with. i got the khaki, perfect neutral color and the belt is a great deal for $8.99

Lovely and well-made
A very nice belt, just as pictured. The material is good -- a sturdy, waxed cord that looks like cotton, with wooden beads at intervals. The macrame-style weaving is even and well done. My only complaint was that when I unpackaged it, it had a VERY strong, musty smell, as if it had been in a moldy basement for years. I almost returned it, but thought I'd wait and see. After just a couple of days, the smell has disappeared, so perhaps it was just in the packaging. Now I'm very happy with this belt.
