If you are here looking at this product then you already know about reishi mushrooms and there is no need for me to yammer on about them. As for this particular product, I love the stuff. The flavor is good but if you are not into the reishi flavor, you should know that it mixes really well with coffee or Dandy Blend (a tasty coffee substitute). It has a nice roasty flavor on its own, slightly bitter but not bad. It actually grows on you fairly quickly. This dissolves instantly in hot water. I have not tried with cold water but I imagine it dissolves quite well. I have ordered 5 bags so far and each one has the same consistent quality as the one before it. This product is certified organic, non GMO, & Fair Trade. It is vegan, raw, and gluten free. The best by date on every bag I have purchased has been at least 14 months out. I have read many reviews with people commenting about the fact that this product is from China. I would like to remind folks that China is also the birthplace of Traditional Chinese Medicine and that reishi mushrooms play a significant role in TCM. While I understand some folks concern, it should be kept in perspective. If you can find a domestic source that is comparable, I would love to hear about it. In the meantime, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. This is a quality product that I have found to be consistent over the course of several orders.

I have to say, I definitely noticed the effects of this product the very first time I used it. I dissolved a teaspoon in my morning beverage and within an hour I was buzzing. A high energy boost was immediately noticed. I have used other Reishi products before but this 4:1 water based extract is far superior. I have even purchased whole dried reishi mushroom slices and made extracts and tea out of them. They tasted horrible and did not have the same result as with this product. I was surprised by its smooth unoffensive flavor. Other users have mentioned it helped them sleep but I would not recommend it as a nightcap. I have reduced my daily consumption to 1/2 teaspoon for now and may gradually increase it.

One of the most effective products that I use. I have diabetes, but this mushroom helps increase my libido so much. If your age is > 50. You should give it a try. Here is what I tried (or try in whatever way you like): Mix 1/4 teaspoon (or one baby spoon, for libido) into every morning hot coffee cup (before any breakfast); add the same amount of Lions Mushroom (for mental health) plus a full teaspoon of pure cacao powder. I was surprised after a week of use this way... my sex desire and capacity increased to such a higher level (1-3 times per week depending on my stress level). It is noticeable creasing. Depends on how your body can absorb it, but at least to let you know what benefit bring to me (maybe you as well). This is the second time I bought this product brand. Hope this may help!!! I purchased this product as it is supposed to have properties beneficial to fighting cancer...not that the seller is claiming that...just what I've read via research. I've been adding it to my soup as an additional health boost. It doesn't affect the flavor adversely. I will likely continue to purchase in the future as I like natural foods for health and immunity. A serving is one tsp so this will last quite a while even with daily use. And, the product arrived quickly. The only caveat I had was that I couldn't reseal the bag but that was minor...I just put it in a ziplock bag.
