Underarm Shirt Test: Not so impressed.
Dropps Fresh Scent Variant ReviewIf you want the TLDR, I can't recommend this for the toughest body odors on workout clothes. So heres what I did, I took one "drop" for 6 very stinky and sweaty workout clothes and 4 workout shorts, set the washer to quick wash and extra rinse, 40 minutes total Washer time. Results? (Pre-Dryer) Well, the underarm test was disappointing, I could still smell that annoying body odor smell on them underarm part of the shirt... Sucks right? So next, what I did was I included those same workout shirts and shorts along with my main laundry for the week, a full load to wash, took THREE "dropps" this time, total time in the washer: 75 minutes. Final results? (Post Dryer) To be honest, all of the clothes seems smell good, but unfortunately, I took that shirt with the stinky underarm smell from the first test and disappointingly the smell is still there... Now trust me on this, there is a product here on Amazon named "Active Wear Laundry Detergent" its the blue one, THAT easily passes the first "TEST", perfection.I appreciate the packaging and the emphasis on saving our planet by thinking green, but I'm sad to say I won't be buying this one again.

Great smell, terrible plastic mess
I love the scent of this product, and it cleans as well as any other basic eco-friendly detergent, but the plastic or whatever around the pod doesn't fully dissolve and gets stuck to a clothing item in every load leaving that clothing item covered in a sticky goop that you can't get off. They really need to work on that.

Strong, artificial smell
When I received my package, I was concerned because I could smell the fragrance through the shipping box. However, I pressed on because sometimes a fragrance is softer in the wash. For the record, I have used unscented detergent for years, so I may be extra sensitive.I washed my cycling gear and workout towels. Small load, normal wash, one dropps. The chamois of the cycling pants seems clean. No lingering BO. But maybe I can’t tell because the fragrance is overwhelming.I’d try this again in unscented.

4x the cost for a ‘meh’ product
I am trying to cut down on plastic so thought I would try Dropps which claim to be eco friendly. Yes, there is no plastic but the pods just aren’t that good. I have to use 2 pods (either two detergent or one detergent and an oxi) to get a decent wash which makes this detergent ~4x the cost of All Free and Clear. There may be no plastic and that may be eco but it certainly isn’t ETHICAL to make something so much more expensive that no one will use it - this not having an environmental benefit overall

Meh...
The only scent I could smell on my family's clothes after using this detergent was the same musty funky of old workouts. It did not seem to clean our workout clothes any better and the detergent I was trying to replace. The convenience of the little pods and the super small packaging is nice, but its not enough to buy this detergent again.

Really wanted this to work
My clothes were cleaned with the product, however they had no smell. I purchased the rose scent because I wanted them to smell. I was using love, home, planet rose detergent, but it was discontinued. So, now I’m struggling to find a detergent that cleans well and smells really good, and the smell lasts. The instructions said 1 pod per load, so I did and no smell. I then put 4 in there as they are small pods, and still no smell. I’m disappointed.

Nice Job of Cleaning Laundry But...
I've been using Dropps laundry detergent for a few years and it gets things clean without added fragrance, color, or other nasty chemicals. I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 because of the packaging. I don't understand the need for the origami-like box that uses at least twice the cardboard that it would use with an ordinary box and can be a pain to get open.

Love it
I would give them a 5 star if I could. I love the detergent, the prices and the smell. After using it for about 4 months. My husband's cotton underwear is now showing a stain on it regularly. it's not going away and it didn't use to happen until we switch detergents. If not I would continue to use it. I really like it.
