I would recommend you acclimate to it, meaning just start off using it once or twice a week. It may be a bit rough depending on your skin type. If you have a proper moisturizer, then you should apply that after using it. When you get more used to it, it starts to show results. It has done more for getting rid of my acne scars rather than preventing acne. The only things that have shown to prevent acne are your face washing habits and diet (water + ACV = very helpful as a toner).
