Great product. Louder than an f-4 engine
Cons: It is truly shocking how loud this thing is. My ears ring for a half hour if I run this longer than 2 minutes, and I'm in my 20s. Maybe apply some ear muffs and don't run this in an apartment or shared space after 8 pm. People are not joking about how difficult this is to clean. You will not be able to clean this thoroughly without fully dismantling the blade situation, which would probably shorten the life span of this machine in the case that you dismantle it on a regular basis. It seems like a chore, so I haven't even tried. Even if you did this, you would still not be able to perfectly sanitize it. For above reasons, I would never alternate between spices and flours, or between glutenous and gluten free materials. This machine CANNOT be used for grinding materials designated for people with celiac disease if you have already put something glutenous through this. I don't care how well you think you've cleaned it. Spices will also end up in your flour if you switch between those. Pros: This thing works damn well at a good price. It is impressive. How well it works is worth the cleanup for me. Flours do come out fine and my cornmeal is the perfect texture. For the price, it is lovely. TLDR it's impressive how well this works for its price but please invest in a large case of keyboard duster and some fine-mist-spray isopropyl alcohol if you purchase this. And do not mill spices through this if you are planning on milling flour.

A good sized mill for the money
While as noisy as an older Vacuum Cleaner, it does a nice job of grinding up Dehydrated Zuccini slices to the size of a coarse flour. It will grind dried spices quickly, and in the above last 3 images, it turned one pound of Spelt berries to 1 pound of Spelt flour quickly and easily. Unit has the rotary switch/timer but would have been better to have had a momentary push button instead as it works fast and works best by pulsing the motor for 1 or 2 seconds for several times. There is also NO interlock for the cover so it could be turned on without the cover (Do not do this.). The cover should be easy to turn with only slight resistance once the levers are released on the cover. If there are any leaks, you will get a very fine dust coming out(which can resemble smoke when you remove the cover from something that has just been ground.), and those leaks can be addressed by releasing the lever on the affected side (if there is no obstruction under the gasket seal.), and the nut which engages under the ear of the hopper can be rotated Counter Clockwise slightly as you look down at the nut from the Lever end of the lever lock (In use, thiese nuts can turn some as you twist the cover loose, so periodic checking when in use is a good idea.). While you can take a look inside the hopper to check progress without unplugging the unit; as long as the motor has stopped; you can usually tell just by the sounds the unit is making when running, and often feel as well if you happen to hold by the motor frame/body. The Zuccini was probably one of the more difficult food stuffs to grind, but by gently rocking the machine while it is running for a short continuous time after about a half dozen pulses, it usually ground up the light pieces that otherwise get blown to the hopper wall and do not get drawn into the cutting blades/hammers. Stems from dried herbs would do this as well. The Spelt flour began as spelt berries as you can see with the finished flour product. The volume of the flour is about 1 and 1/2 times higher than the unground berries. One pound of any grain is about the most you would want to do; and does not take much time to get to this coarser flour (Perfect for Artisan Breads and Skones.); which again, was achieved quickly by pulsing the grinder with the pulses just long enough to let the motor reach top speed. And again, the sounds changes when the grain has reached the Flour stage. The sifter IS included, but remove it from the hopper BEFORE you apply power the first time. You will also want to give it a quick cleanup to remove any residue from the factory or from shipping before grinding anything. While it takes a bit of care for cleaning as the main hopper is NOT removable for cleaning, it can be cleaned up with a sink sprayer (Unit cannot be immersed.), a sponge, and the included cleaning brush. Best to wrap a paper towel around the body while cleaning it up to keep water from splashing into the unit's motor.

How to keep this grinder from getting too hot
Hard to beat this mill. I was new to grinding my own flour. Wasn't sure if I'd stick with it. So I was looking for an inexpensive mill. This one fit the bill ... then exceeded it. Pros: It's made of stainless steel. The stone mills are, of course, attractive but I kept reading about the stones getting caked up, reducing their effectiveness, plus many cost 3,4,5 times more than this guy. Many of these blade/impact type miles, like the Wondermill, are made of plastic. Ugh. So, does it grind your berries small enough to bake bread? Without a doubt. Will your bread be gritty? Nope. Even should you grind your flour more coarse than what it would be in a stone grinder, I'm finding it doesn't matter. By the time you autolyze, pre-ferment overnight and do a final proof, the flour is in great shape to make bread. Cons: It will get hot and if it gets hot enough, it will shut off. Which brings me to why I'm writing this review and that is to share a technique that gets you finely ground flour without the unit shutting off. Note: I've settled on 520g as the max amount to put into this size grinder (the 750). If you want to grind more than that, get one of the larger models. The technique: I find 2 - 2.5 minutes to be adequate for my bread making. Turn the unit on and let it run for 15 seconds or so, then do this: A) Hold the grinder perpendicular to the floor, shake it up and down 3 or 4 times for 5 or 10 seconds. B) (This is the trick!) Then turn the grinder parallel to the floor and shake it sideways, back and forth for 5 - 10 seconds. You'll notice that when the grinder is parallel to the floor the blade speeds up which appears to cool the motor. 5 - 10 seconds of that then back to Step A. Wash, rinse, repeat. I've found that successively alternating between these two ways of jostling the grain around inside the grinder keeps the unit cool, eliminating the number one complaint for this machine - that it gets too hot. Did I mention that it's stainless steel? Hope this helps.

Great for grinding my own spice blends
Powerful grinder. Using for spices, roasting whole and grinding for best flavor. My garam masala has cinimon, black cardamoms, star anise, and other hard spices, along with coriander, cumin, etc. This grinder made fine powder in 2 30 second runs. Only complaint is its not the easiest to clean (although grindind some rice does help if needed making it easier to brush/wipe out). Would make rice flour in 20 sec if I needed some so there's that too. Good comsistancy in output, easy to use, just big enough for my needs.

Very useful for households
I am very happy with this electronic grinder. It is powerful, easy to use, and grinds quickly and evenly every time. The compact design saves space, and the quality feels durable and well made. It works great for grinding spices, coffee beans, and other ingredients with excellent results. Cleaning is simple, and the performance has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this grinder to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient product.

Fantastic!!!
I couldn’t be happier with this. I started out milling my own flour about six months ago, my son-in-law was so sweet and bought me a grain miller that is an attachment for my KitchenAid, however it took way too long to do it that way. So I decided to see what else was out there when I found this. What a difference! This will mill 3 1/2 cups of wheat berries in about three minutes or less depending on how fine you like your flour, I put it in in batches, I feel test the flour, when it feels really soft I know it’s ready. If you don’t leave it in long enough it will be coarse and grainy feeling. As you can see in the video, I scrape it out each time I run a batch through. I think as the machine heats up, it causes a little moisture because by the last batch, it's usually a little harder to scrape out the bottom, so if you didn't do that each time, I would imagine it would really cake on the bottom. If you have quartz counter tops like I do, you might want to put a rubber matt or something underneath the machine, otherwise they slide around on the counter top. I use a small silicone trivet. It gets very hot to the touch so make sure you are careful when grabbing it, making sure to only grab the red handle. This little machine is worth its weight in gold. I did a little demonstration video! *I did my original review in April, it's a few months later, still using it a couple times a week and it's still going strong. When or if this one dies on me, I am getting the same exact one again!

Love the one you're with!
We've only had it for a few weeks are happy with our purchase. Positive: Grinds 2 cups of wheat berries in 3 minutes Doesn't take up a lot of space. More affordable than most brands Can use for grinding coffee and spices Negative: Loud - but so is Nutrimill & only 3 min No way to set the size of your grind You can turn the machine on without the lid Some people say stone vs metal is better Note: The screws are exposed so flour gathers in and around them, but it doesn't matter since we only putting dry ingredients in there. I've used it to grind wheat berries for buns and pizza crust and grind coffee. We were looking for a more affordable option than nutrimill. Basically, we kept waiting for Nutrimill or a similar product to become more affordable or hoped to find one second-hand. We saw this unit wth pretty good reviews and so much more affordable. We also noticed flour mills were actually becoming less available and more expensive so we decided to just get this rather than hope for a pie in the sky... We settled! And you know what, we love the one we're with! 😂

Solid machine- great value, but has some drawbacks if you’re going to mill a lot of flour
This is a FANTASTIC entry level grinder. I bought this because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like branding my own flower and baking with it. I didn’t want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a grain mill before knowing if I even enjoyed the taste of fresh milled flour. This seems difficult to clean, as it takes me about 20 minutes to get everything cleared out of it, and I’m never sure if it’s fully clean. Sometimes I will take it out to grind flour after a few weeks, and there will be pieces of flour that have come out from under the blades. Now that I know how difficult it is to clean I will usually grind large batches of flour at a time and then freeze them. I don’t think it’s more messy than other brands, though, because I feel like grinding flower is always a messy process. The machine itself performs fairly well. There are always a few chunks of grains that I find no matter how long I process the grains for. It comes with a sifter to sift out the chunks and so you can re-process them, but it doesn’t really work well. I suppose I could use my own sifter to get the trunks of greens out. There aren’t enough unmilled grains that it really bothers me, but if you are a seasoned flour miller or need really fine flour, this may not be the machine for you. The value is unbeatable though and if you are new to flour milling, it’s a great beginner machine. I have not used it for herbs or coffee beans, but it would do great with those, I’m sure. The machine gets very hot and the instructions will tell you not to grind for a long period of time without taking breaks for the machine to cool down. When I have flour milling days, I usually have to let it cool down for 10 to 15 minutes between batches. It is VERY LOUD. If this broke, which it seems like it has no intentions of doing so anytime soon, I would probably buy a more expensive flour miller and would not repurchase this one, but I am happy that I was able to have an affordable option to see if I liked flour milling
