This has become the Favourite Pan in our household
I know that non-stick is popular, and I get it. We always went that route, too (or cast iron, which I find to be sometimes "easy care" and other times "hard to care for" as they can rust on the bottom and leave stains). But, by gum, I have to say this is even easier to clean than regular non-stick, as I *can* use a scrubber, and as fiercely as I feel like without fear of damaging it. And, there's no coating to wear off and get into your food. There's no hard-earned "seasoned" patina to try and not remove and no "seasoning" to redo every so often. We can use this in the oven for certain dishes, as well. Something that you can't do with most non-stick pans (maybe you can with the ceramic types, if the manufacturer says it's ok). We have spent years cycling through non-stick pans. The cheaper and the more expensive ones out there. All last only so long. A year here, a couple of years there. But always needing to be replaced after what feels like a short time. During this, we have owned a set of stainless steel pots - for at least 25+ years, and never needing to replace them. So, when the most recent inevitable time to replace The Pan came, we bought this along with a carbon steel pan (the one my husband was most excited to get) and a ceramic coated pan (the one I was most excited to get). Out of the three, this is the one we both reach for, time and time again. And, as the person who does 85% of the dishwashing, I really appreciate the easy cleanup it provides (I swear, I will not try and wash that carbon steel one, as I don't want to accidentally remove the baked-on protective layer that my husband has so lovingly built up on it). Even though we do own stainless steel pots, I hadn't thought it would be just as easy to clean a pan (something you cook more aggressively in) as they are. Even after a burned disaster. It always looks like new after washing. Even with the worst mess, it doesn't take a whole lot to get it clean again. The thick bottom - and I do mean thiiiiick - really helps distribute the heat evenly. Hands down, our most favourite pan. When we finally decide to add in more pans for size variances, I will be looking at getting them from this line.

Really sweet pan!
Got rid of all of my Teflon pans and purchased this one and another stainless steel pan. This one is excellent! Great quality, large enough to cook tons of veggies and heats up very quick! (I have a gas stove, not electric) I'd say so far scratch resistant, I did not get a lid with it, but I have a lid from my older large pan and it fits well. It's not stick if you heat it for a few minutes and then use the oil. Overall, I really love this pan.

Not bad for the price
I love this pan. I mainly cook eggs in it and maybe a grilled cheese. It's a good pan. Heats up quicker than my Demeyere industry. I think of it has slippery hands, the round handle could be a problem. The raised rivets can trap food

My Only Regret
My only regret is that I didn't put this money toward a bulk pot & pan set. Also this doesn't come with a lid. Their saute pan DOES come with a lid and they're interchangeable, and the handle has never really managed to heat up enough to burn me, which is great for stainless steel safety. Quality is definitely there, I wish I bought the multi pack. Bar Keepers friend and some stainless steel wool will keep it totally scratch free. The nonstick takes time to get used to, I hear it over med hi heat for 3+ minutes, oil, wait a touch, and never had an issue once I found the rhythm.

A safe way to cook
This is a good product if you want to get away from applied nonstick pans, not completely 100% nonstick but easy to clean.

Great pan, high quality.
I love this pan, it is my go to for all my cooking now. I got a good deal on it, and I have not compared it to other ones, but somehow I feel like the 5-ply makes it better than all those 3 ply ones I see out there. Anyway, all I know is that it looks good and feels good, works great and I am still happy with it after a year or more. I think it will last a long long time. I do not see any scratches or anything, but I don't take a lot of knives or metal to it. Things don't stick too much because I always use some butter or oil. I like the stainless steel pans mainly because I don't feel like I can get any teflon or any other toxic junk coming off of it and into the food. Great product, highly recommend.

It's pretty, well polished.
This is a nice fry pan. It is nicely polished and well finished. The straighter walls do give a larger pan bottom surface area. When used properly, meaning properly preheated and then oiled, the pan is pretty much non stick and easy to clean. Upon receiving the pan I washed it and used it for bacon and eggs the next morning. It worked well, the eggs did not stick and flipped for over easy. Once the pan cooled it was quick and easy to clean but be aware, the interior finish is easily scratched and a nylon pad will scratch it. That nicely finished interior is good until you use the pan and then it's just used and it looks it. I expect that this pan will work good for any use and next I'll be searing steaks in it. The only issue I have with this pan is it origin and price. No way this thing is a $100 pan. More like a $60 pan. I bought this thing to evaluate it as a gift and no, I will not be gifting one of these at the current prices. If I'm going to spend the money for quality level pans they will be All Clad's. Bottom line: Overpriced Chinese product. Edit to add after a month of use. This pan is a Chinese product and it shows that fact up real quick. As this pan got used more it got real sticky to the point of this pan is going into the metal recycle bin where I work. This thing just gets dirtier and sticker and almost impossible to clean the more you use it. Today I tried pancakes in it. Browned off some sausage and bacon in first, all of which stuck no matter the perfect preheat and oiling prior. Deglazed the pan with boiling tea kettle water and got it sort of clean, got it back up to heat, reoiled it, put the pancake batter in which STUCK LIKE GLUE to this awful pan. At the same time I was running a Lodge cast iron flat pan where the batter did not even try to stick. So anyway, took This Misen Chinese piece of junk off the burner, scraped out the stuck pancake then replaced the cook pan with another Lodge cast Iron skillet and proceeded to cook a dozen perfect pancakes. This Misen pan is grossly inferior to my 75 year old RevereWare stainless steel pans that will cook pancakes and eggs no problem. I don't care what materials you specify or what your design is, if the product is then made in China and you or your company are not running the factory yourselves you will only be producing and buying junk. And sure enough, as other reviews have stated, this pan does start to warp, no matter how much TLC you give it. This pan is so bad I wouldn't even consider donating it to goodwill and will instead just scrap it. A hundred dollars wasted at Amazon, AGAIN.

Misen 5-Ply Stainless Steel 12" Frying Pan actually cooks evenly and cleans easily!
This frying pan is actually unbelievably amazing. I have owned dozens of frying pans over my life and typically have gravitated to coated ones for ease of cleaning. Eventually they all scratch and peel and I have to replace them. This stainless steel pan actually lives up to what is advertised. It actually cooks evenly and even if there is a food residue on it after cooking I fill it with water and then the food comes off it very easily! I bought the 12' pan. It is heavy but I can handle it fine (69 yr old woman). I had a lid already and it fits nicely. I have only used it on a gas cook top. I like it so much that I am planning on giving my grandson one for Christmas as he is looking to get something and was considering a cast iron one. I think, having experience with cast iron and coated pans, that he will be happy with this because it actually heats evenly and more importantly it cleans easily!

Hard to stop burning of Pan and Sticking
Solid but as mentioned by others heavy and round handle doesn't help with handling. I found everything left burn marks on the pan even using oil eggs ..burn, bacon...burn sausages absoloutly wrecked it with bad burn marks on the pan that I couldn't easily get off. Returned and bought a set of Aldi non stick for a fraction of the price even if I have to replace the Aldi Pans after 2 years for 10 years I am still ahead although I dont like disposable items which is why I bought the Misen 10" expecting it to last longer than me. ! Didn't give less stars because it is a nice looking pan solid build and maybe I am just incompetent although I have been cooking at home for over 50 years. I also have a pair of very solid cast iron pans which I have had for over 20 years that in my opinion perform better.

Received damaged pan
When I received the pan it arrived with a strange substance on the inside surface as well as some obvious marks/scratches in the finish. There was no damage at all to the box, so the damage did not happen during shipping. There was also nothing inside the box that could have damaged the pan like this. The only explanation is that it left the factory this way. This is EXTREMELY disappointing quality assurance for such a 'premium' product. Of course, they offered me to send it back and get a refund, but international shipping from Japan back to the US is a huge pain and not worth my time. Technically the pan works as the damage is only cosmetic, but again for the price I paid I expect a perfect product not something that feels like I got it on the second-hand market. As for the pan itself, it cooks well. I fried a few steaks and some eggs. The damaged surface had no effect on cooking. The pan is quite heavy but it's what expected. It was also easy to clean. Again, the damaged surface has no impact on sticking/washing up. I am very happy with the pan but disappointed in the apparent total lack of quality assurance at this company. If you don't mind a pan with ugly marks on it, then this is a good product.

Great quality, reasonable price.
Strong and sturdy with it's own kind of beauty. This is a very capable pan, particularly for the money. If you're looking for a high quality pan with even heat distribution but aren't ready to pay the high-end prices then this is hard to beat

Performs well
I am happy with this skillet. It preheats quickly to the rolling water droplets stage on medium heat, its handle stays cool even if the pan itself is scorching hot and stays cool for at least half an hour during high heat cooking. And with a minimal amount of fat, like 1/4 of tsp of oil or butter, it fries an egg without sticking. It is lightweight enough for comfortable handling during cooking and washing it even though it is a five-ply all clad item. Five stars well earned!
