BEST kibble on the market
We have dogs with sone wild digestive problems and this food completely eliminated it. It’s much softer than other kibble. Dogs go crazy over it and helper them tremendously. Is it very expensive, yes…with that you pay for what you get.

Bang for your buck
My dog loves Orijen! She is very picky with food and this is the only one we’ve tried (amongst many) that she’ll eat. I love the clean ingredients – no hydrogenated oils, no cheap filler ingredients (corn, wheat, etc.), and it has a lower carb/higher protein content which is more aligned with a dog’s natural diet. In addition, they use wild caught fish versus farm raised, as well as some wild and free-run meat. These are ingredients I gravitate towards for my own food, and thus my dog’s food as well. Everyone comments on how silky and soft her fur is. We’ve been feeding this to her for several years now. I rotate between the Original, Regional Red, and Six Fish to give her the most variety. While the great ingredients help justify the price of the food, you also get more meals by weight with Orijen than with other kibble because it has higher caloric and nutrient density. For example, a good number of dry dog food brands I’ve seen is roughly 370ish kcal/cup (some more and some are less), whereas Orijen is 470-ish. So you’re getting somewhere in the ballpark of 27% more meals by volume. I feed my dog 1.75 cups per day, whereas I’d need to give her 2.4 cups of other dog food for the same amount of cals. I’d encourage you to do a quick comparison with the other brand(s) you’re considering and the recommended serving sizes. Of course caloric density can vary, but Orijen is the highest I’ve come across. All in all, great ingredients, and a food that my dog will actually eat!

Pricey but the pup goes crazy for these
Ridiculously expensive but my dog loves these as treats and I believe they are a healthy snack for my companion. If it brings him joy & is healthy, it's worth it.

One of the Top Dog Kibble You Can Feed Your Dog
I rescued a 7 month old Husky recently. When I took her into the Vet for a wellness check, I had asked the vet what would be the best food for her. Without hesitation the Vet said Purina Pro Plan was the best! So trusting my vet I went out and bought the food. I feed my dog the Purina Pro Plan food and she sniffed around it at first and ate it. The food gave her diarrhea. Knowing huskies have notoriously sensitive stomachs, i thought I'd try sticking to it to see if she normalized. It wasn't happening. During that time decided to educate myself on dog foods. Obviously fresh dog food is the best. I don't have time to scratch make dog food myself, and the fresh dog food in the big brand stores is either too expensive, or I cannot depend on them to keep it in stock regularly enough. I came across Orijen dog food and the first thing I noticed were the ingredients. The first ten ingredients in a dog food is pretty telling. Here's the first ten for Orijen's Original Dog Food: Chicken, turkey, salmon, whole herring, chicken liver, dehydrated chicken, dehydrated turkey, dehydrated chicken liver, dehydrated egg, and dehydrated sardine. Did you see mention of any "by-products" or "meal"? Nope, because it's not there. If you take a look at the first ten ingredients for Purina Pro Plan for puppies they are: Beef, rice, whole grain corn, poultry-byproduct meal, whole grain wheat, egg product, beef fat, pea fiber, fish meal and natural flavors. Clearly Orijen is the winner here. What they put in their dog food is so much better for our four legged friends. I switched my husky to Orijen's Original food and things have been great. She has a beautiful shiny coat. She has had no digestive issues. Her energy level has gone up and she enjoys this food! Don't ask your vet what to feed your dog. There's a reason they suggest Purina and it's not because it's the best food for them. Do your research. Purina doesn't even make the top 20 when it comes to foods that are better for your dog. Try Orijen if you're looking to feed your dog well! . .

Worth Every Penny!!
I’ve been feeding my German Shepherd Orijen Original for the past few years, and the results have been amazing. His coat is now shinier and softer than ever, and he has so much more energy! Truly he honestly acts years younger! This food is packed with high-quality, biologically appropriate ingredients that clearly make a difference. I’ve tried other premium brands in the past, but nothing has had the same impact on his overall health and vitality as Orijen. You can tell just by reading the ingredient list that this is real & nutritious food, not filler. Even my vet commented on what a great choice Orijen is. It’s a favorite among professionals in the pet care world for a reason. I worked in animal rescue/welfare for a long time and i believe in this brand. If you’re looking for a dog food that truly supports your pup’s health from the inside out, I highly recommend giving Orijen a try. Your dog will thank you

My dog has been on Orijen since a puppy - will be changing
I have been feeding Orijen to my dog since he was a puppy. I decided to switch out to Amazing Grains from Original to give him some variety. Unfortunately, Chauncey is not that keen on this particular flavor. With coaxing, he still eats the food. I’m mixing it with broth and occasionally with canned food for it not to go to waste. Too expensive and I’m not sure if the rescues in the area would take an open 25 pound bag. I am going to go to cancel the renewal subscription and purchase another flavor for him. My dog is very active, healthy, and I get complimented on how soft his coat is all the time. I am rating at four stars since this is such a great product; unfortunately, he didn’t like the flavor as much as the other one. UPDATE: January 2026, My recent order came with holes in the packaging with the largest hole TAPED up with clear packaging tpe. Contacted Amazon and they replaced the bag. Now I am reading the 1 star review which worry me about the mislabeling - not wild caught fish and poultry. Brand sold to Mars Petcare. Will now start to look for new dog food for Chauncey - may even start to buy raw fir him instead. I think AMAZON broke a Federal law by shipping out open container of food to customer.

lo mejor en croquetas !
La verdad a mi pastor aleman le encanto el cambio a Orijen, previamente usaba royal canine. Lo único que lo vuelve difícil es el precio, no se si pueda seguirlas comprando por el precio.

Feel ripped off
This is the normal 2kg size that you can often buy under £25 on offer. The weight given in pounds was overlooked by myself, an assumption I paid dearly with. Nothing wrong with product but overpriced and cynical marketing in my eyes.
