Thanks! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Penetrating Look At An Oft-Ignored Anatomical System *by W***P on Reviewed in the United States on 17 November 2011* Tom Myers' "Anatomy Trains" is sure to change the way you view the human body. As a Personal Trainer I work a lot with corrective exercise modalities, postural analyses, and mobility enhancement. This book has opened my eyes to a whole new way of observing/evaluating clients' body positions both at rest and in movement.Mr. Myers starts by describing how the body is formed and, more specifically, how the myofascial web is built from embryological development through maturity. He then presents a general overview of the Anatomy Trains concepts before delving into each of the established Lines in greater detail, discussing anatomical locations, relations to kinesiology, and methods of working with the Lines (primarily through palpation which was somewhat unfortunate for me since that is beyond my scope of practice - I would have liked more information on the stretching and movement aspect of this therapy though admittedly the author and I come from different practices in background).Since reading this book I have come to view people's bodies differently. As a couple of examples, I now habitually think such things as "shortened right Lateral Line" & "overlengthened peroneals in foot supination" when viewing clients. This has helped me to add in additional corrective work in my practice.I highly, highly, highly recommend this book to anyone involved in manual or movement therapies.
