Excellent products
I bought the castor oil shampoo and the coconut oil conditioner. I have meno-hair & have a hard time with it being very dry and falling out. Nothing has helped. I was on the fence about buying these but did it anyway. My first impression: Castor oil shampoo - dry pleasant smell. I would say that it lathered ok and rinsed well. I worry about rubbing anything against my hair because of how easily it falls out. Coconut oil conditioner - after doing Keto for 8 years I’m a little burned out on the smell of coconut oil, so when I opened this bar I was struck but the smell. It turned my stomach a little. I kept the box in case I didn’t like it, so I could send it back. The bar was very soft and I was afraid I was going to break it. In the shower I shampooed my hair and then conditioned. It was relatively easy to coat my hair. It takes awhile to rinse but it can be used as a leave in too. It made my hair feel so wonderful. I shampoo only a couple times a week, and condition every time I shower, daily. I love it so much, and I don’t notice the smell as much now either. I plan to use this forever. Con: The coconut oil conditioner leaves a slippery oily film in the shower so make sure you have something to wash it out with so you don’t slip. Also, I have super dry skin now also and use the coconut oil conditioner on the rest of my shin as a moisturizer in the shower. I love it! Great for fellow meno-women

Perfectly moisturizing for daily use and great as a leave in!
I now have the whole set and use the rice water & rosemary shampoo along with the rice water & coconut oil conditioner and the shae deep conditioning bar as a weekly mask and honestly, my hair is sexy AF. I’ve seen new growth, she’s more manageable, clean, moisturized, and I am here for it! We out here whippin it back n forth 🥳 I know many have mentioned that the conditioner bars, either melt quickly or crumble, so I took this into consideration when purchasing. Here’s what’s worked for me and I hope it can help others. - get a good lather with the shampoo bar in your hands and with the bar still in your hands create a lather on wet hair. (I do this twice for a double wash) -wet the hair a bit more than your normally would when applying conditioner, typically you would rinse out all the water to put in the liquid conditioner, But with these bars, it actually is a bit more helpful to have a little bit more water in the hair as you apply the conditioner. -The conditioner bars are MUCH softer, so I will gently rub the bar in my hand to get a layer or a coating of the conditioner, apply that to my hair, then follow up again with a little bit more and paint the ends of my hair with the bar. - It can be a bit misleading and feel like there isn’t enough conditioner in your hair, so I would recommend using a wide tooth comb and a splash of water to “activate” the conditioner which then you’ll feel the normal slip feeling we are all probably used to. -rinse off the bar and store it where water won’t hit it causing it to melt and preferably somewhere it can air dry, like a soap rack (away from water lol) Hope someone finds this helpful!

Strong Smell
The smell is very strong. I have a small apartment bathroom, and it completely smells like this bar. Even fresh open from the box with no water used. Even after it was used. Using this with the shampoo bar and leave-in conditioner. So far I do like the conditioner bar. First use, I did feel like it took a lot of strokes to get coverage. I like how smooth and soft the bar feels. My hair seems ok so far.

It changed my hair!
I had a hard time finding a clean beauty conditioner that would actually hydrate my hair. All of the ones I tried left my hair feeling dull and dry. I would always have to use an oil before washing and applying a leave in conditioner to keep it moisturized. I had tried a different brand of bar conditioner before and I was not impressed by it. So I confess I was a little skeptical when buying this one. I was wrong. This bar is extremely hydrating and leaves my hair feeling silky and shinny. I believe the coconut oil is what helps the most. Definitely if you have fine oily hair, I would not recommend using it on the scalp, just more on the lengths, like the suggested use says, because of the amount of hydration would probably make it feel more oily. The bar suds and spreads with no problem. The only downside for me was the strong smell. This one specifically is not too strong. But the Castor Oil Shampoo I bought definitely has a candle like smell which makes the entire bathroom smell. I was surprised by that, seeing it is supposed to be made with plant based fragrance. The strength of it makes be cautious, but I'm trusting the label. Definitely recommend for everybody. Easy to travel with, less mess, less waste and great results!

Scent is way too much
It seems to be a good conditioner, but unfortunately I didn't get to test it properly because I was allergic to it. Not the company's fault, but I specifically need one that's more lightly scented, and this wasn't it. However, the scent was WAY too powerful anyway, and not very pleasant to begin with. Even if I wasn't allergic I probably wouldn't get this again because the smell is so noxious. Maybe it's just the asthma talking, but it's hard to be in the room with the bar when it's uncovered. Very powdery, grandma's-bathroom-cabinets kind of smell, but amplified. So, good conditioner, but the scent is pretty bad, especially if you have fragrance sensitivities. Just wanted to leave a heads-up for anyone with the same problem.

Love it!
I purchased the shampoo/conditioner bar set as a travel option knowing it would be easier to pack, and not having to worry about liquid restrictions, and after using them on vacation I fell in love with them, and ended up purchasing another set for home! My curly hair isn’t frizzy, and is smoother using this product, and it’s eco friendly…bonus!

Kitsch coconut conditioner
If you have thick or coarse, curly hair, this works with the frizz makes it nice and soft easy to use

I'm impressed.
I'm impressed! I've been looking at these for a while, I've not used supermarket shampoo and conditioner for nearly two decades so i was a bit scared to switch from my salon hair care products. Been using it for a week, so far so good. Easy to use and smells really nice. I'm using this with the rice water shampoo and my hair feels lovely and soft.

Awesome results! Love the products
This is my second purchase of Castor Oil Nourishing Shampoo Bar & Coconut Oil Conditioner Combo. I love it! Lets start by saying I am a 68 year old woman with long thick, corse, waist length, dyed dark blond hair… My hair naturally is very dark with Gray sprinkles… Think asian hair. I gave up my very expensive salon products to try Kitsch, because its was less than a third the cost of mine. The reviews were just so good - I had to try it. And what a pleasant surprise I got! It lathers beautifully and the conditioner feels like silk in my hair. When dried, my hair is extra thick feeling ( if that is possible,) wavy, voluminous and soft with lots of movement. No more frizz and my split ends are pretty much non existent. The only thing that is a con for me, is the bars do not last as long as they say they do and that is probably due to the length and volume of my hair, but other than that, I can’t say enough good things about Kitsch products. So I of course highly recommend Kitsch products whole heartedly. Do yourself a favor and just buy them and try them for a few months, you’ll be glad you!

Not sure yet….
I bought the rice protein shampoo and coconut oil conditioner bars. I have used them exclusively for about 6 weeks. I wash my hair every 2-3 days. I have kinky/curly past my shoulders sort of coarse hair. The picture is what the bars look like today. - these bars perform like any other shampoo/conditioner I have tried (drug store brands) - I find it hard to get a good lather from the shampoo bar. Maybe because of the shape? - I have to really work at getting a soapy lather and I don’t like that. It means I take longer showers which concerns me as we are on a water meter and septic. So higher water bill, more water going in the septic system, higher heating costs for my longer shower. I’ve tried ‘painting’ the bars into my hair then lathering. It might save a bit of time. - shampoo bar is holding up well but about 4 uses ago, the conditioner bar started crumbling and small chunks come off. I squeeze all the chunks to the bar in my fist but those chunks and more fall off during the next use. The bars are in a soap dish stored away from regular shower spray so they aren’t getting extra wet. - I think the shampoo will last longer than the conditioner (due to it crumbling) I’m willing to give these products another chance due to saving shampoo plastic bottles for the environment. I’ll try the same shampoo bar but will change to the castor oil conditioner and see how that works out. I just need to find a way to use these and have a shorter shower.
