Beau loves this vest its great for 20 minutes then have to re wet it.I got a XLR a little bit big by 3in she is 62 lbs and I am in redding triple digits here so this allows her to get a little exercise with out over heating .

I rarely write reviews and had to take the time for this product. Our dog lost hair on her back and its purpose was to shield her from sun. Easy to put on due to the velcro sides. Soft and extremely well made. Lightweight , great look and great fit. Interior packaging had notes from manufacturer about customer satisfaction being a top priority, and included a one year warranty regarding defects. Pricey but well worth it.Solid 5 STAR review.

I have used it on my dog several times, yes she comes back cooler from her 1 1/2 mile walks. When I take the jacket off, her fur & skin is cool.I keep a bucket on my porch & soak the jacket for a few minutes before putting it on. We had it on her in 88-90 degree weather.

Oh it’s HOT!! & my 14 year old ~50lb long hair Lab/boarder collie mix needs something to get though this soup! This vest delivers on its promise. What I like: it fits great, it’s very lite weight, easy to put on & Smokey seems to really like it. It keeps her body cool for a good 20 min. Walk in 90+ degree heat. It does however not cover the neck so I have ordered a couple of cooling Bandanas for her. I keep it soaking in the fridge with cold water and a little ice mixed in and it stays super cold for when we are ready to hit the trails. Large fits her all the way down her back and the Velcro is super adjustable

Works really well. She doesn’t pant anymore when we walk at 94 degrees. Very happy.

This has been very helpful for my pups. Putting them in the fridge ( I use a ziplock bag) also helps keep them cooler longer. Would recommend

We’ve had some very hot days. I’ve put this on my pup a few times after setting it down. She hates it, but I think it’s okay. Not sure if it really keeps her cool for our short potty break walks

I highly suggest getting this! My Boston Terrier would over hear fast playing outside in the son in no time. I got this “she doesn’t like putting it one, must be cold lol” but once it’s on she can play none stop and “playing fetch etc, she used to do 3-5 runs and would stop and lay in shade” she no longer does that, honestly she can play for a good hour or more, I still make her drink water but this is so great! What a difference it makes! I also bring it when we go fishing in our boat, the floor is finished but just the hot sun beaming down she stays nice and cool! It’s worth it!

This cooling-vest is something I’m so happy to have purchased. It has done a great job of keeping my dog cool during walks and hikes, and maintained being damp and cool even after 2 hours outdoors. He doesn’t pant as hard or often while wearing this, and after coming home his body is cool to the touch where he was covered.I purchased a size large for my black lab mix, and he isn’t bothered by wearing it either (unlike other things he’s to wear like winter or rain coats).

The vest looks nice and it’s easy to rinse it under a cool tap before use, which does result in cooling while the vest stays wet. However, it’s just a wet vest. There is no special technology or magic here. It is a single layer of fabric and is polyester or nylon so if it’s dry it could actually be quite hot as it would have a low level of absorbency and therefore no “wicking”. Good for short walks only but be aware what you are getting. It’s a very basic vest. It fits well and the Velcro works well and ensures it’s adjustable.

positives: this worked well for my saint bernard cross in the summer heat. he loves to run but wouldn't be able to stay out long due to overheating. this helped keep him cool long enough to get some good exercise. it was a little bit big but the velcro is heavy duty and helped cinch the vest so that it was snug enough. easy to wet and wring out.negatives: the smell of wet dog never comes out of the material. I have tried a variety of different things and it still always smells HORRIBLE! my dog is not smelly so it's frustrating that the vest has such a terrible smell to it. I hung it to dry completely after every use but ended up throwing it in the washing machine each time anyway but that didnt ever make a difference. I have used it only 3 times because it smells so bad and have been quite disappointed. even my dog is offended that I'm strapping that stink onto him.I liked the product and wanted to keep using it but neither my dog or I can stand the smell.
