NO! Don't ever try to force carbonation into a glass bottle, unless you want to be blasted with shrapnel from the bottle when it explodes! These are for plastic PET bottles only.

What size is the big flat o ring on the inside? I need a replacement for my carbonator cap.

I've just got one of these, and it leaks when connected to a normal pet bottle. is this what the o-ring is for? or do i have a deffective unit?

Make sure the inner metal piece..the one with the hose Barb..is tight. It screws into the main part of the cap. Also that large washer is key to getting a good seal on the bottle. Mine gets screwed down so tight that when I remove the cap it's inside the mouth of the pet bottle.
