Japanese knife. German steel. Made in CHINA ?? Doesnt that make it yet another CHINESE knife ??

China has contracts to make knives for Wustof and Zwilling/Heckels. German steel is a type of steel, not a citizen of Germany. Anyone, anywhere can make german steel with the right metallic components......just like you can make a streusel in America but it's origins are German. The Tuo Nakri knife is styled after a Japanese knife made of a specific type of metal with origins from Germany. The knife is produced in China. China has a long history in making quality knives with a number of steel types including Aus10, VG10, and 1.4116. Tuo does a good job with their knife production. BTW, American companies also make a Nakari style knife with 1.4116 German steel.

Can this cut a coconuts hard shell?

I found a cleaver that specifically stated it was "Perfect for cutting through coconuts and their hard husks". Amazon does sell it and the name is Mueller 7-inch Cleaver Knife, Vegetable Meat Chinese Chef’s Knife, German Stainless Steel with Ergonomic Pakkawood Handle, for Home Kitchen and Restaurant Hope this helps!
