The Grisport 'Ayr' shoe is elasticated to allow extra comfort for those with a higher instep, but equally allows you to slip the shoe on and off without undoing the laces - our designers are making life too easy you lazy people. The Active sole has been designed to have 'rubber springs' in it and gives the wearer amazing comfort. Added to all of this, we've put our Gritex water-resistant and breathable lining - giving you protection on the coldest and wettest days.

Comfortable
Comfortable! Good walking shoes for a pensioner: however, shoelaces too short & will be replaced. Shoes are made from different grained leather which should not happen & is quite noticeable, but, this does not detract from the shoe....happy.

Great Shoe
I needed something to replace my old and trusted dog-walking shoes, which are finally falling apart. Looked at several products, including others in this range and was encouraged by the positive reviews. They ARE comfortable and fit well having walked several miles in the first couple of days with no problems at all. I did feel my foot moving around a bit on slopes, but that is probably due to the newness and they will fit better when they are worn in a bit.

Horrible without thick insoles.
The edge of the uppers come up right under my ankles, and even a 1/4 mile 2 way walk to Tesco was a nightmare. Fortunately after inserting a fairly thick and robust rubber insole, topped by a Kiwi leather one, they're now bearable, but I won't ever wear them for anything other than short and casual use. Fortunately I found a half-price pair of Grisport Lomond boots elsewhere online, which are bang on the money.

Good Quality great Fit (read review)
other reviewers have said that they added a half size to get a perfect fit. that is the way to go. These shoes fit like a glove. I can confirm that they are waterproof. The rest of me was soaking, trust me down to my underpants but my socks and feet where dry. They look good and seem to be well made . so good that I bought a second pair in black. Same good fit (half size larger than normal) and they look just as good as the first pair.

Great fit and style
Not worn them for any long walks yet but they're very comfortable and smart - exactly what I wanted. I have to wear shoes that are a good wide fitting and feel perfect right from the start, and these seem great.

GREAT SHOES IN TOWN AND COUNTRY
Very comfortable even with orthotics. Great for walking in city and country tracks. Good non-slip soles
