Not for the iPhone
This item does work once you manage to get everything in order. *However*, I don't suggest using this item with the iPhone 3GS, it got stuck after being inserted and was not easily removed once inserted. I had to dismantle my phone to get the device out. I used one of the micro SIM cutters that are available on Amazon for about $4 and the resulting SIM was still too big to fit in the device. The material that the circuit traces are on is paper thin and easily mangled. After inserting and and fighting to get the device out of my phone the material bent and the surface mount chip ripped off. Word to the wise, this device may work with other cell phones that don't use a small slot and/or tray to load the SIM but it is definitely not something you want to use in your iPhone if you intend to remove it ever once you insert it.

It only worked for five minutes
Got the dual sim card adapter last week and tested out. I followed the instruction provided, even though the instruction was not very clear. Cut two of my regualr SIM cards to micro-SIM size using the stickers provided. Put the cards into the dual card adapter. The fit is really tight, and if you are using the metal covers that came with it, make sure that you leave rooms to be able to pull it out later. I really had a hard time getting the adapter out after it was put in the slot.At first, nothing showed up. I had to rebooted for about 5 times and I finally see the STK icon showing up in my app screen. I was really excited and played around with it for about 5 minutes. I then rebooted the phone to see if everything works. But the phone was never able to detect the dual card adapter and the SIMs again.I pulled out both SIMs and put in the regular SIM card adapter and tested the cut SIMs out and they worked perfectly. I guess the adapter must have some problems that my Motorola Photon 4G can only detect it once. What a waste of time and money.

Worked just as described, but the cutting and filing is like surgery.
I used this adapter in my Samsung Galaxy S ii using an AT&T sim card and a Movistar sim card from a Mexican cell carrier. It works just great and I am able to change sim cards via an app that came stock on the Galaxy S ii. Both calls, text, and 3G Internet work with both carriers. However, the first few times I tried to cut the cards down, it did not work. The cards have to be cut very precisely, and even then, the entire converter card is too thick to fit smoothly into the sim card slot. So I had to file down the tops of the sim cards to make them thinner, and then it worked fine.UPDATE, December 10th, 2012:After only 9 months of use, this dual sim card adapter failed. It started to go bad slowly, and then finally showed up as a "no sim card" error. I tried both the SAME sim cards in my phone one at a time without the adapter, and both worked. So it is definitely the adapter that went bad.

This team works very well, but the seller must give more information on using the computer. Above all the details of how it works in the part of a telephone that uses only one frequency band. Although both operate without individually but not simultaneously.

Kinda works, but not as well as I had hoped - very flimsy
In theory this is a great little product and it certainly does work. I had hoped that it could run both cards simultaneously (which it cannot). It does add an app to the phone (samsung galaxy) that allows you to manage which card is which. I did have to fiddle the cards a little, as it didn't always detect them. Also, unfortunately, because I travel a lot, I did have to change the cards in the sim a few times a year, and eventually it just doesn't work any more. In the end its actually easier to just swap full sized cards - or spend the money on a super cheap second phone - which I eventually did.Great in theory, but loses stars for flimsiness, fiddles, and not quite doing what was needed (running cards simultaneously - which granted is probably as much a phone feature). Easier just to swap cards or have a cheap second phone

AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID !
I got this adapter as a way to accomodate 2 sims in my ZTE Blade. I found it very difficult to insert the adapter. The software in the adapter did not boot up in the phone. When I tried to take the adapter out of the sim slot, I had great difficulty. Had to try and lever it out with a tweezers as well as gently pulling. It eventually came out, but on the way it dragged out 3 of the 6 nodes that make contact with the sim card. The phone will not now recognise any sim., & will not work. I returned the Adapter to the sender via Amazon. I also emailed the Seller, who is based in Germany. He did not want to know.I have read on another forum that this is a known fault in those type of Adapter. The metal carrier is too thick to fit comfortly in the sim slot. When it dosen't, it is likely to cause trouble. I am very unhappy with my experience of this adapter and the response of the Seller. So my advice is AVOID THIS ADAPTER IF YOU VALUE YOUR PHONE !!!!!
