The picture quality is truly unbelievable...
This is an awesome pico projector. I had it setup in no time and connected it to my wireless network for updating the firmware. This projector is tiny but performs like it’s 20 times it’s size. The picture quality is so truly unbelievable that I felt compelled to include a video review for others to see the unboxing and actual video of this projector displaying on a 80” projector screen. Check it out.The cube design is only 1.8” in size and works with iPhone, iPad, PC and Android phones. In my view video review, I connected the UO Smart Beam projector to my AppleTV. And what I really like is that it has a built-in battery that lasts up 120 minutes. This second generation UO Smart Beam projector is 2x brighter than previous Smart Beam. It shoots 80 lumens that looks like it’s over a 1000 lumens. It displays video in a 16:9 aspect ratio with a video size of 120" at a distance of only 10 feet. In my video, I’m projecting on a 80“ screen at only a distance of 8 feet away. There is no need to worry about the projector's LED burning out so soon since it's rated at a lifespan of 20,000+ hours. This projector includes a Wireless Dongle for sending video HD streams to your iOS and Android device. When connected to my iPhone, I was able to control the projector’s internal speaker volume from my iPhone.Again, at such a compact size, it’s like having a cinema like experience in your pocket ready to go wherever you are. It's lot's of fun!

Almost perfect
Small and purposeful. The UO Smart Beam 2 is the second generation of the Smart Beam. Bought this one over the original as it was cheaper in price and supposedly be more advance in features. Although I do not have the original to compare to, I assume that the features I am getting are above and beyond that of the Smart abeam 1.The packaging it came wih was confusing to dissemble but once all the cardboard and paper cartridges were removed, the product was spectacular to behold. It is a small cube, looks something from Star Wars you could put on the floor and a hologram would start talking. For my purposes, I wanted to use this with my iphone7. The device mirroring with iOS is a requirement for me and the projector did not work for this purpose at the beginning. You must first apply a firmware update (as indicated in the instructions) before the airplay and mirroring will work. The trick here is that in order for you to use the airplay, you must use a dongle and the projector and both of these devices have to be fully charged. To repeat, there are two components you must charge, the dongle and the projector and both devices have to be 100% charged before the firmware download will occur. Once you get your wifi network connected and the firmware downloads, everything is straightforward. The default language of this device is in Korean but you can change this once you hav the dongle mapped to a private network and you can access the settings menu via your cell phone. The Smart Beam is pretty nice but it does have its limitation, which is what most small-size projector have in common, and that is brightness in situations with large amount of ambient light. You can increase brightness by shortening the distance to the surface of projection and you also may get better brightness with a high quality projector screen. Simply using this device in a bright room will not be very satisfactory.I am not sure the length of the battery life but I was able to connect both the projector and the dongle to an external 10000mV portable USB charging station and I would thing this will future the battery life is needed (for camping trips). As to the reason why I gave it four instead of five stars is the design for the dongle. I am just not sure why the wireless functionality cannot be built into the Smart Beam projector itself while perhaps increasing the cubes size? I think it's a lot more convenient to have an all-in-one cube than one that require two sets of cables and a dongle just to make it work for airplay.
