what is the size of the tunnel when fully opened?

Hello Amazon Friend! I did not measure the tube personally (dimensions state approx. 10”x10”X.8”), however one of my girls is a 5lb. bun. She and her sister, who is a bit smaller, run through easily and happily🐇🐇. I hope the video gives you a decent perspective for your children as to size. Be careful, though, if your children chew. I do not believe chewing the fabrication will hurt; mine were trying to pull the tube into their playpen during the night. I want to be completely transparent. My bunny is 8 lbs ,is the tunnel big enough?

Yes it is, my bunny is huge as well.

Hand wash, yes. Machine wash, no. It is shaped and held together by a framework which would be smashed and probably tangled if put into a machine. It is easy to clean by hand, by wiping it down with a sponge or wet cloth. It is the same material used in tent making, although not as strong, so a hand cleaning would do just fine.

Is this big enough for an average fully grown Flemish giant?

Possibly? My NewZealand is almost 10lbs and has no problem playing in it. It isn’t even a tight squeeze.
