However I figured out that if you pinch the sides and pull down, works pretty good. I just put a sock on and toes were in perfect and it took sock about halfway to knee. Then just used hands and pulled up rest of the way. Worked great. I believe these socks are a 15 in tightness. On a 25 or so you would likely have to oil up your foot to get it to slide through the plastic. It was kinda tight with 15 compression. But regular socks this unit works really good. I don't own ankle socks or sockets to test. Well I have sockets but they undue nuts. Anyway if you have bad hips or big guts I have both and putting on socks hurts the hip and knee. Ok update I just put on the other compression sock and what I said about pintch the sides.WRONG squeeze it a bit and slide the sock down easy peasy. Now the instructions say sit in a sturdy chair and your feet flat on the ground. Well I am not going to kitchen to put socks on,I am using a lazy boy recliner rocker. And I have no problem what so ever. My daughter will be really happy I have this cause after using big chainsaw for a day my hip has been sore for 3 weeks it is getting better but older ya get longer to heal. And she has been helping with socks. Mind you tonight will be the first time in 3 or 4 weeks since I wore compression socks as she could not get them on me. So if you can't bend over very well to put on socks this is a true game changer. As a matter a fact I am going to purchase another one for a fellow millwright at work that can't touch his toes and does not wear socks because of it.
