unipaws 37 Inch Furniture Style Dog Crate with Cushion and Tray

I’m a professional dog trainer and generally use collapsible wire crates, but I just got a new, large breed puppy and didn’t want to have a giant crate set up in my fairly small family room for months, so I bought this to replace a steamer trunk I’ve been using as an end table for decades. (The trunk moved to another room.). I didn’t have high hopes for a furniture-ish crate without spending a fortune, but decided to give it a try. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and design of this crate. The pattern of the mesh sides means there are no bars for the puppy to chew on or get stuck in. The bottom plastic tray slides into the bottom of the crate, instead of sitting on the ground as most of this style sold on Amazon do, and it comes with a fitted pad—which my puppy promptly peed on, of course. It looks surprisingly nice in my family room as well. I would not use this for a high anxiety dog who tries to break out of crates (actually, I wouldn’t use a crate at all for a dog like that, unless I carefully conditioned the crate first, but that’s another story), but if you have a dog who is crate trained or intend to spend time crate training your dog, this crate is a great choice for a more permanent crate setup where you might not want to be stuck looking at a traditional crate in your room.

I bought these to replace the soft sided crates we'd been living with in the bedroom and living room. We have two 100 lb labs who love to sleep in their crates and are obedient to "get in the house" when visitors come and we need to keep down the rambuctioness factor. I was worried about the color, we seem to have so many wood colors going on. They ended up almost perfectly matching our wood floor, light grey with a little hint of brown. Overall not bad and I don't feel like I have to explain the crates anymore. They could go with a more grey decor or with brown. Most of my tables are in the brown family and these look fine. They are made of pretty sturdy material although it is clear we will have to use inside latches as just the outside latch opens with a soft push. Not a deal breaker. My husband put it together in a short amount of time, I would say it is almost equal to an IKEA piece of furniture, although not quite as sturdy on the connectors. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I've perused "furniture crates" on the web for awhile and didn't really want to spend $1000+ for a custom built or larger crate. This works fine and makes me happy every time I look at it. I did end up exchanging the medium for the large. While my pups like to curl up and the Med fit, it wasn't enough for them to spread out due to the fact that part of the front is stationary and only the doors open. The other issue with the Medium is that is was pretty short. I have them up against a wall in both cases and they are a little too short to set decorative items on. (we have 12 ft ceilings - sorry not bragging) - but they ended up kinda dwarfed even with art work on the wall above them. Shorter ceilings might not be the same factor. Just trying to give you a full and honest review. Overall I am super happy with my purchase. I bought one to try it out then bought three more so I'd have two for each room. Wouldn't have spent the money if I didn't think it was worth it. Good Luck!

We love this dog crate! It is exactly as described. Wanted a dog crate that looked like a piece of furniture & this one fit the bill. Also, like that it is made of sturdy engineered wood, in a modern design. The base is heavy & designed with an opening on the bottom side, this allows easy access to the tray, for cleaning, it just slides right out! Another reason I picked this particular, furniture like crate, the tray, sits on the *top of the wood base, other designs I looked at, the tray sat right on the flooring, making this design sturdier & more aesthetically pleasing. We pick up our English Bulldog Puppy in a few days. So, we purchased this size 37x23x26, for him to grow into. We did have a bit of an issue w/assembly, I was able to message the seller through the Amazon Message Center. Seller was quick to respond & was very patient & professional in helping us figure out that WE had 2 panels upside down, DUH! 😣 I have given presentations on “How to Provide World Class Customer Service” So, believe me when I say, this seller went above & beyond, because we were 💯 convinced we had put it together correctly & they had pre-drilled the holes in the incorrect spots…I sent multiple messages w/photos showing this & the seller sent messages, w/specifics, diagrams, photos & they helped us see, WE HAD MADE A MISTAKE, *WE had 2 panels upside down🤪. I spent sooo many hours searching for a crate that would be functional, stand up to our 30lb active 8 month old puppy, and blend in with our home design. This crate hits the mark. It fits beautifully in our space. I especially love the door design. We keep the crate open during the day so our pup can go in and out, and these doors don’t stick out past the rest of the crate when open. They just fold up against the body of the crate! It’s great. No awkward door hanging open taking up space or giving her something to crash into when she’s zooming around. I was nervous based on some reviews that the locks wouldn’t hold, but we’ve been using it for about two months and our pup seems safe and secure when she’s inside. She absolutely shredded the foam mat it came with, but it’s a standard size so I was able to buy something a little sturdier with ease. My only complaint is that I REALLY wish it was real wood instead of MDF, but unfortunately no such product seems to exist unless you have it custom made. There are also a couple of joints where if you look closely you can see that the finish isn’t perfect, and it came with one kind of scraped area inside by a bolt, but you get what you pay for I guess.

I bought this crate three years ago and its still like the day I bought it, Good quality very useful with the slide out tray for easy clean up for messes, Whole crate is washable.

The veneer on the dog cage easily pulled off inside, my dog ingested glue and particles. Do not buy this expensive, heavy useless piece. Marks for screws are not aligned correctly. Missing parts were the sliding bolts for doors. I made three trips to major hardware stores and could not attach hardware I bought from each store. I order a lot of products from Amazon but I’m changing. I’m elderly and when someone finally helped me we were in shock at the confused instructions. It’s a pile of junk in my living room and I Will not ever try a purchase like this again. Don’t purchase this for assembly issues , time you need to work with all issues. Tiring to go to Lowe’s and stores similar and try to tell clerk what you need to replace parts not sent. I was excited to share what I had purchased with others but now I have told them DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Piece of junk and unusable. As an elderly person I do not have resources to buy a product that is not usable and I’ll have to hire someone to remove from my home and trash this dog furniture.

We used this crate from when we first got our medium Goldendoodle at 5 month old, and used it at night and when we were away until she completed training at 11 months old. She was 33 pounds in this photo, and had plenty of room to stand and stretch out. We bought a couple of bowls at Tractor Supply that attached easily on the wire screen. We used a pad that had a rolled edge on it. It was also well made and attractive.

Looks just like furniture. Nicely made. Strong and durable. I used it for my Rotwilder who 140 heavy.

I can’t wait for my puppy to come home. Easy to assemble , I wish it came with the tools required. Everyone I show this to loves the aesthetics of it.

After looking at lots of different dog crates and reading lots of reviews I went for this one and so pleased I did. It looks great and my dog loves it. It arrived quickly and very well packaged to avoid damage. My husband built it in 45 mins and the instructions were easy to follow. It’s nice and dark for the dog and very cozy. I would say the price is very good for what you get and would recommend to anyone who like myself couldn’t decide which one to go for. I purchased the large and it’s very spacious for my large frenchie

This crate looks ascetically pleasing. Comfortable mattress provided for animal. I have a 10 week old Pomchi puppy and this crate is plenty big enough for this breed. I wouldn’t recommend this crate for any bigger breeds as it would need replacing in the near future however very pleased with my purchase and looks great in my front room.

Looks great, really good size. It was easy to put together and my dog seems to love it as well. He's already crate trained so I just needed an upgrade from the standard metal wire crate and this is perfect the space I needed it for. Wouldn't recommend for a puppy. I got the XL and is a good size for my Belgian malinois. Wouldn't be big enough for a large/giant breed.
