More fun than racing a submarine through the artic
I've always loved the over the top action of the Fast and Furious movies and I wanted to be able to replicate the crazy stunts myself. Sadly, I've only got a 1.2 litre Nissan Note for a car and at even the slightest hint of a drift it will just roll over and end up in a ditch. So rather than attempt a high speed (after a lengthy run up) robbery with my little car, I thought I'd get this game instead. At £12 it's feels like a steal so thats close to a crime. This is a perfect game for me and my family. Not my actual family but the assortment of weirdos at my local pub board game night. Dom Turetto had his street racers, I have my nerdy friends. It's basically the same thing. Like a sweet Dodge Charger the game gets quick to the action and with a quick setup and a few simple rules, you'll quickly be flipping unmarked SUV's onto a tank or wrestling goons on top of a speeding semi truck. There may be 10 movies (at present) but there are only 3 scenarios but they are different and all work well. The pieces are all well made and everything is presented nicely. In the end, it's fun, it's daft and it's a lot better than it should be. Kinda like the movies really.

Solid game, and at this price its a steal!
Art style and design is cool. Entire box set feels much better quality than the price suggests it should be. It just generally feels like its designed by people that wanted to put out a good product. Found the manual nice and well written, and the guide sheets made the set-up for the first game much easier than expected. Once we started playing it became clear that it is a real game with something to offer rather than just some yunk rules with a shallow IP veneer. Its based around a solid turn structure and the manual does a great job of explaining these as you go. Within a few turns things were really flowing well and we found we were not stressing over the rules and were just enjoying the game. As its Co-Op there was no rows and although we only played the first mission, we had a good laugh. It does manage to capture the flavour of the IP.

The fast and the furious at dice
Suprisingly fun game for a movie tie in. Bit fiddly for people new board games but shouldnt be too much of a hurdle if theyre actually interested in the game. it's super thematic and who doesn't love stealing a tank?

As much crazy fun as the franchise
This is a game that's both effortlessly cool and completely bonkers - capturing the essence of the franchise perfectly. The aim of the game depends on the scenario you choose - whether that's taking down a tank or chopper manned by Shaw, or recovering cargo from a semi truck. With your choice of driver and vehicle from Team Toretto, you'll race down the highway ramming you enemies and leaping from vehicle to vehicle. The theme comes through beautifully as you make daring stunts and refuse to die. Like the film franchise, it shouldn't work, but it just does! Another winner from Prospero Hall! - Backseat Boardgamers

Not Fast, and all the rules got us Furious
Fast and Furious is a film franchise full of mindless fun and thrill-a-minute action. That's very difficult to match in a board game. First up, the good stuff. The game looks great and the many vehicles are well crafted.* With three missions to play, there's two layers of cool kit crammed into the box. The low price is amazing (under £8 for me, thanks to Amazon marketplace seller EAMeenen). On the contents alone, Highway Heist offers fantastic value for money. What's not so good is how complicated it is to get going. Forget a rulebook, this has a rule bible! Definitely not mindless, and not much fun. Yes, it's full of practical diagrams and top tips, but there's so much to plough through before you can start. We just wanted to floor the accelerator and hit the nitro - but we found ourselves stalling for over 30 minutes before crawling away. The positive thing is, we didn't give up, and gradually got the hang of the gameplay - getting faster the more we played. Plus we ended up crashing the tank to win the game (although it turns out we messed up some of the rules that could have seen us lose). But now we're up to speed, we should be able to nail the other two missions more quickly. Where's the wow though? The blurb promises awesome stunts, wrecked cars and people jumping from moving vehicles. Sounds fantastic, right? In practice, it involves turning pieces over, repositioning pegs, and waiting for everyone to complete their turn before working out how much you've damaged the villain by sliding pieces backwards four spaces. All a bit too slo-mo for me - like the low speed space chase in terrible Star Wars film The Last Jedi. Less Fast and Furious, more slow and tedious. Compare with Funko's Indiana Jones game where a swinging sandtimer injected real energy, dexterity and jeopardy for beat-the-clock excitement. Or maybe an animated app (as featured in other Funko games) could liven things up? Something more pacey or racy, otherwise fans of the film could very quickly get bored with this board game. With complex rules that slow things down, would say Fast and Furious is more for brainboxes than boy racers. Nevertheless, it works as a game. Just don't expect it to live up to its name. * Worth noting the car models and illustrations are generic rather than the actual ones from the film (so there's no Dodge Charger or classic Ford Escort, shame). I guess it's a licencing thing. Likewise the pictures of the heroes are more vague than other Funko film tie-ins, with a soft-focus shaven-headed muscle man rather than Vin himself. A Diesel substitute you could say - like biofuel!

Great for the Price
It's a surprising package for the Price. Lots pf detailed vehicles and cards. Other boardgames wouldn't be shy in charging at least £40 for this much content. As for the game it self, it's really quite Good. The mechanics really do help convey the sense of a speedy car chase

Looks cool
I honestly haven't even opened the box yet because I haven't got the time to sit down and play it. The box art is nice though.

How Fast & Furious can you be?
Good game, but somewhat limited in its replayability. Once you know how to win each scenarios, that's about it. Production value is high for a mass market game.

Challenging Co-op Game - Great for Fans of the Films
This is a challenging co-op game that can be very fun once you get the hang of it. Our first time through we messed up a few of the rules and were confused on quite a few things. Still, we came close to winning and that led us to want to play again. The next time, we made sure to have a better grasp of the rules and overall understanding of the game. We played a total of 4 times in the first week of owning the game because of how fun it was! For fans of the Fast and Furious franchise, this game will be a pleasure. It is clear that the person who designed this game studied the movies and included as much as possible in the game. The game comes with three different scenarios, each inspired by a different film in the series: Semi Heist from Fast Five, Tank Assault from Fast and Furious 6, and Chopper Takedown from Furious 7. The game has you start with Tank Assault because the other two scenarios introduce new mechanics, but I actually felt Tank Assault was a bit difficult as an introduction. Semi Heist was much easier for our group and felt like it would make a better intro to the game even with the added features. You can play as 6 different characters from the game: Dom, Letty, Roman, Tej, Han, and Brian. Each player has a special ability, make sure to review these beforehand and try to build a team whose abilities will be handy for the scenario you are playing. There are 4 different cars for each player to choose from. These also have special abilities so be sure to review those as well and maybe choose one that best fits your character. Overall I think this game is great. Working as a team to complete the scenarios is a lot of fun. I really liked attempting the stunt cards because they feel like scenes pulled straight from the movies. It's also really cool how you can change the order that everyone goes in each round. This way you and your group can strategize what everyone wants to do for the round and who should go first. At times, the game can seem challenging, but I think this is by design in order to keep you from winning all the time. I really like this game and can't wait to play it again!

Sorprendentemente divertido
