No, I literally broke my toe trying to get the drain out of my bathtub. Years of paint and epoxy had sealed the drain into the tub. I used this tool with a screwdriver and my foot for leverage to get the drain out. Needless to say, it worked, but I broke my toe in the process.

Worked like a charm to get my old drain out that wasn’t working well. Just stuck a sturdy screw driver through the hole for leverage and came out easy peasy.

I had to drill and deepen the center hole on the small side to fit properly on my tub drain. If you aren't handy or don't have access to a drill you may have a challenge with this. This might not be an issue depending on the style of your drains.
