Khanka Hard Drive Case for SanDisk Extreme Pro NVMe V2/Extreme Pro Portable SSD 1TB/2TB/4TB.(case only)

I have ended up with 2 Scandisk Extreme Portable SSD's, and thought it was time to buy them a home, hence the purchase of this case. I am happy to report that all 2 of the disks can be held safely in the case together with a connecting cable, and it fits nicely into my laptop caseThe case holds the disks in one side, and the cable in the other side. Between them is a padded divider so that nothing can get scratched.If you have Scandisk Extreme Portable SSD's this case will keep them safe and undamaged. Great bit of kit.

Fits everything perfectly

This case is made specifically for the considerably smaller SanDisk Extreme Pro Solid State Drive, and won't fit the larger type of standard external hard drives.The drive fits nicely inside, and there is a protective inner cover that prevents items stored on the other side of the case from coming into contact with the drive, and causing scratches etc. The other side of the case is used for storage, and features an elasticated retainer net for holding your power/data transfer lead.The case is nicely made, good quality, and with a strong zip. It will definitely protect your expensive SanDisk drive from most impacts, or during transport.However, I have bought a number of external hard drive cases recently (larger size), and these are equally well made, with almost identical interiors. I paid just over half the price of this case, so I can't help thinking it is a little overpriced. Having said that, if you want a case tailor made for your SanDisk Extreme Pro, this fits the bill nicely.

Quality and protection

Ordered this case as it was recommended on the website when purchasing the SanDisk 1tb Extreme Portable Pro external disk, only when the case arrived & further drilling down that does it state it won't fit said disk BUT the recommendation states it does, luckily Amazon were kind enough to return/refund.

I compared five hard cases for the SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD: the Husky Bucket Jockey, the YINKE Case, the Khanka Hard Case, the Lacdo Hard Carrying Case, and the GWCASE Hard Case.Of the five, the Huskey Bucket Jockey case and the YINKE Case were slightly over-sized, which would allow the SSD to move around a bit (not a problem in my mind), while the other three cases all had the "fits like a glove" feel. More on that, later.The fit was important to me, as I also am using a LEFXMOPHY Case Replacement Silicone Portective (sic) Cover on the SSD, both to give me some extra grip when handling the SSD and to protect the SSD in case I still manage to drop it. As I'm using this particular SSD in support of field photography, this extra precaution seemed wise to me.As a consequence of my putting the SSD in the LEFXMOPHY protective case, the three smaller SSD cases wouldn't work for me. The YINKE case swallowed the SSD in the LEFXMOPHY case with no problems; the Huskey Bucket case was a bit of a tight fit (I had to be sure to not push the leading end of the SSD too deeply into the HB case as I was inserting it).So why did I ultimately choose the HB Jockey case over the YINKE case?* The HB case has extra padding over in the accessories side of the case (where data cables go)* The HB case lining is a bit plusher (OK, not a big deal)* The HB case zipper tab is rubber-coated, making it easier to grab, particularly if I'm outdoors and wearing gloves (the YINKE's zipper tab is flat metal)* But the biggest reason is that the fit of the SSD in the protective case is VERY snug in both the YINKE and HB cases, but only the HB case has a removal strap that goes under the SSD, making it easy to pop out the SSD from the HB case.Truthfully, the HB's removal strap wouldn't be a big deal at all if I weren't using the LEFXMOPHY protective case, as the fit without the protective case is loose enough that it's easy to get a finger tip under the SSD to remove it. With that protective case on the SSD, though, the removal strap makes the process far, far easier.In fact, the biggest issue that I had with the three smaller cases is the extra effort and manual dexterity required to get the SSD out of each of them (because of that "fits like a glove" thing). Beyond that, all three have noticeably inferior interior cushioning compared to the HB and YINKE cases. Finally, the Khanka case has a very coarse exterior material, which may make sliding it into and out of a laptop or camera bag or backpack pocket less convenient than the others.

Light weight and size match to my SSD. Give 100% protection to SSD and well organize for my device.
