I see a variety of ingredients listed, but since I don't have a package yet, I was wondering if you could tell me which of the herbs is listed 1st etc

The ingredients are: FTGFOP1 Green Tea, Cardamom, Cinammon, Almond, Saffron Those letters in front of the tea apparently stand for Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe first grade, which indicates the tea leaves are very good quality (though I couldn't tell you what exactly that means).

If you have been measuring water at 220 degrees F, something is wrong with your thermometer or you are heating the water under pressure. The boiling point of water at atmospheric pressure is 212, you can't make it hotter without pressure. You will have to calibrate your instrument if you want to get hung up on accuracy for tea water. In general, green and white teas like a cooler temp, around 180 -185 F . Black tea is robust and can be steeped at 208 - 212 F. Oolong teas, although black have a bit more delicate leaf and are brewed best at 185 - 190 F. With black tea, just boil and steep, no need to worry about measuring temperature because the water at is the right temperature just off the rolling boil. Physics is your friend!
