Beautifully Written and Comforting for Young Hearts
This book really helped our family during a tough time. When our five-year-old was struggling with the loss of our family dog, The Invisible Leash brought so much comfort and understanding. The story gently explains that the love we share with our pets doesnโt end โ it just becomes something we can feel in our hearts instead of see. The illustrations are lovely, and the message is simple enough for young children to understand without feeling overwhelmed. We read it together several nights in a row, and it opened up such meaningful conversations about love, loss, and remembering. If you have a child grieving a pet, I canโt recommend this book enough. Itโs tender, hopeful, and healing for the whole family.

Hard to read through the tears, but good book
My 10 year old and I read this after our dog of 14 years passed. We like it - it was just hard to get through without tearing up.

If you have a child that has lost a pet, this is the book you need to buy.
The Invisible String is my all time favorite grief book for young children as an elementary school counselor. This is a great addition to my collection specifically for the loss of a pet, which is HUGE for young kids ( and letโs be real, it doesnโt matter how old we are, we LOVE our fur babies). Please buy this.

Great book to help cope with loss
Great book to help little ones understand/cope with the loss of a pet - and an easy way for kids to understand the concept of life after death. We reference this book often when talking of our departed pets and family members.
