Retro Portable Pink Bluetooth Speaker Radio with FM, 5W, 9H Playtime, Vintage Design

I knew I was getting a mini speaker, w/a radio. It's very smart, in a kitschy, retro way and the red really pops. Comes in a great little box and is surprisingly sturdy, w/ heft and very good workmanship. It has a terrific high gloss paint and I'm so pleasantly surprised at the quality of it. No plastic nobs, it's metal knobs and trim. It would have completed the retro look to have a squared, fabric speaker cover, like old radios and tv's, But I suspect those more modern looking 9 portals help conduct and amplify the sound. For such a low watt speaker I am so pleasantly surprised at the volume and quality of sound for music. I just wanted something where I could putter around the house and into the yard a bit, as I listened to podcasts and maybe a bit of music in the yard, and it exceeded my expectations. Esp. for the price point, I was not expecting miracles. It more than serves its purpose, has half decent blue tooth transmission into the yard. The blue tooth function in the house is excellent. The microwave, and cat, and most anything doesn't interfere w/ the bt signal in the house and the dials are so easy to use. The biggest surprise is the amazing radio transmission on this. I can't get bugger all but a few channels I don't want to hear on my stereo, w/an antenna on it. W/ this, I pick up all sorts of stations so easily w/ a nice old fashioned dial, rather than fussy and inaccurate digital dialing. The volume on the radio is much louder than the bluetooth and I can tool all over the place and likely drive w/ it, as I haven't gotten around to replacing my car stereo yet. This is a great purchase. I've seen reviews complaining about lack of quality of sound and too much midrange. Mine in red was under $40 Canadian. When I really want and can afford big box, full range speakers, I'll save up for that and get myself a real boomer for the yard. For what this is, it's terrific.

I've used this for just over a year and it finally broke. PROS: - Great and impressive sound for such a small speaker! Both in quality and in volume - I often had to use it at its lowest sound setting in my home office. - Super easy to switch to bluetooth mode and use it as a computer speaker - all I had to do was spin the dial to the right twice and it would work in under 2 seconds. - Radio was excellent and was fun to use for a retro feel. - No batteries required, just need to charge it (which I prefer). Battery life is ok. - Super compact size and very aesthetic. It was easy to bring around to parties or in my backpack. CONS: - No battery indicator, paired with the fact that when it's low battery, it'll stop your music and play a recording of a woman with an asian accent saying "low battery, please charge". I always find this super jarring whenever it happens, and it happens kind of often because I never know what the battery's at. This was probably the biggest con. - About 6 months in, the bluetooth setting would occasionally have a hard time activating. - Now 12+ months in, the bluetooth setting has completely stopped working. Since I finally need a replacement, I'll be trying a different brand, but I would still recommend this speaker and would be happy to just buy another if the new brand doesn't work out. **UPDATE** I purchased a different brand and the radio reception sucked, so I'm just going to buy this one again. Super cute speaker, surprisingly it's very loud for a small speaker. Would definitely recommend

Gave this as a small gift for my teen daughter and she is OBSESSED with it now! It’s adorable, and she especially loves listening to the radio on this little guy. The sound is better than you’d expect for a little teensy plastic box like this, but don’t expect good bass for hip hop or anything like that. The light on the dial is really cute too. Great gift!
